Eldhose Paul was born on Thursday, November 7, 1996 in Koruncherry, Kerala (26 years old; as of 2022). His zodiac sign is Scorpio. Elderjos attended Krishnan Elayath Memorial High School in Arangade. Later, he entered Mar Athanasius College in Kerala to pursue his Bachelor of Arts degree. However, he dropped out of school in 2016 and served in the Indian Navy. Elderhorse has been fond of sports since he was a child and participated in many interschool competitions. While in school, Elderhorse practiced long vault at the junior level and won a medal.

Parents and siblings
Elderjos’ father, Paulos, was a supplier to a toddy shop. Elderhorse lost his mother when he was about four years old. He has a younger brother named Abin Paul. Erdos was raised by his grandmother Mariamma, who is in her eighties. In an interview, Elderhorse talked about his grandmother and said:
Over the years, she has done everything a mother would do for her children. We are very close and have a strong bond. She raised me and taught me all the values of life. Needless to say, I wouldn’t be where I am today without her. “

In 2021, Eldhose Paul made his National debut at the 4th Indian Grand Prix in Patiala. He won a gold medal in the competition. In the same year, he won a gold medal at the Senior Inter-State Athletics Meet in Patiala.
In 2022, he participated in various triple jump competitions such as the Indian Grand Prix in Trivandrum, the Indian Grand Prix in Bhubaneswar and the Indian Open Long Jump in Trivandrum. In the same year, he participated in the 32nd Kusanov Memorial Event in Almaty, making his debut on the international stage. He won a silver medal in the competition. On July 21, 2022, he competed at the 2022 World Track and Field Championships in Oregon, Hayward Field, Eugene, Oregon. Subsequently, in August 2022, he won the gold medal in the men’s triple jump at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games with a height of 17.03m. His training partner at the Commonwealth Games, Abdulla Aboobacker, won silver with a jump of 17.02.

In 2016, while pursuing his bachelor’s degree, he was selected into the Indian Navy. Due to poor financial conditions, he immediately joined the Indian Navy. In an interview, Paul’s childhood coach TP Ouseph said of Elderjos Paul:
I told him to take the job because it was very important for him financially. When he left in 2016, his jump height was about 15.75m. Later he raised it to over 16m during his time in the Indian Navy and today he crossed 17m for the first time. ”

- Eldhose Paul is the first Indian to win men’s triple jump gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
- Paul’s former coach TP Ouseph talked about Elderhorse’s career in an interview and said that he was initially rejected from participating in triple jump training because of his short height. He quoted,
An acquaintance of mine took Paul to live in the MAC sports dormitory. This was around 2013, I was the head coach, and I said this boy was short and suitable for the triple jump. He is a bit shorter for a triple jumper. Even now, his height is around 5 feet 8 inches. But after trying it out, I found that he (Paul) has very good speed, good body flexibility, and good explosive power, so I wanted to give it a try. ”

She had no idea what I was doing but always made sure I got training equipment and fed me the best food. To me, she is super mom. ”
