Kirwa claimed that he repeatedly advised Kipchoge to stay away from his wife, but the suspect continued to make death threats. Kirwa further revealed that he reported the threats to the Turbo Police Station, but no action was taken. Kirwa expressed regret, stating that if the authorities had taken his complaints seriously, his wife might still be alive today.

The head was discovered in the village of Murgor, in the Sosian River, and was sent to the Kimbilio Funeral Home for further examination through an autopsy.

Due to local customs, the family decided not to proceed with burial ceremonies until the head was reunited with the body. As a result, the headless body that was originally found on June 13, 2023 remains in the hospital morgue. Meanwhile, Eliud Kipchoge, the prime suspect, is in police custody awaiting formal charges.

After an extensive two-week search, the skull belonging to Sheila Jepkemboa was discovered by Turbo Police in Uasin Gish on June 24 at around 18:40 hours, as reported by the National Police Service (NPS).

Eliud Kipchoge, who is allegedly responsible for the beheading, is currently in custody by the authorities. The body of the deceased was transferred to the mortuary at the Kimbilio funeral home, where it is awaiting identification and the completion of the autopsy. According to local customs, the family of the headless body refused to proceed with the funeral rituals. Therefore, the body remains in the same hospital morgue, awaiting further developments.

The attack happened shortly after she returned home from college. Langat admitted that he had sold some land to finance his partner’s education and expressed that he felt cheated by her actions. After the attack, Langat turned to his father, who answered the woman’s distressed call. In a disturbing turn of events, Langat also tried to harm his father but failed to do so.
