Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi Give Hilarious Dating Advice: ‘Go Hang Out at a Pickleball Court’

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi share some wisdom with their fans.

In December, the couple took questions from their followers to celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary. Now – since they had “a lot of fun” the first time around – they’ve decided to share a second round of advice.

For the second part of a new segment called “Instagram Tips with Ellen and Portia,” the former talk show host, 65, and Arrested development star, 50, began the video by giving a recently divorced girlfriend advice on how to meet someone without online dating.

“You could join the club,” DeGeneres says in the clip. “Go hang out at the pickleball court. That’s always fun.”

Then, answering a fan who asked how they can feel better when they’re tired, de Rossi looked very seriously into the camera and said: “Drugs.”

The two then jokingly agree that the follower should take “gurches,” and de Rossi mocks their response, saying, “‘Grushes,’ say two sober men.”

When asked for advice for the “stressed student,” the TV personality and actress – who dropped out of undergraduate and law school, respectively – had an interesting answer.

“Well, do what I did. Quit and become a big celebrity,” DeGeneres jokes — and her wife can’t help but laugh.

“I did it too,” adds de Rossi. “Well, at least I got out. I gave up and made a film.”

Perhaps the video’s most heated response came from one of the dumber questions: “When should the Christmas decorations be put up?”

“Never. Ever,” DeGeneres replies — and goes on a hilarious tirade about glitter.

“I don’t mind Christmas decorations that don’t contain glitter,” she says, adding that she can’t go to the store without getting glitter.

“There should be an anti-glitter bill,” she continues. “I mean, it’s horrible. I don’t want glitter. It’s your choice, and now I have a glow on me because you chose it. You are talking about people who have a problem with homosexuals. Like, what about the sequins, you know?”

DeGeneres adds: “I’m sorry. It just annoys me.”
