Blunt previously reflected on where she was when she found out she was nominated in the Best Supporting Actress Oscar category.

“I cried for a little bit when I found out … right after I picked up my dog’s poop,” Blunt told MTV’s Josh Horowitz Happy Sad Confused podcast. “I picked up a poop, and then I heard that I was nominated.”

She added that her husband and fellow actor John Krasinski “had a good cry, too” when they found out she won Best Supporting Actress for her role in Oppenheimer.

“After he helped me with the poop — I think he went and threw it in the trash, and then we both cried,” Blunt joked.
