A brave couple jumped onto the train tracks at Bolton-upon-Dearne station in South Yorkshire on Saturday to save a man in distress, with just seconds to spare before the train stopped.

Youngster Freddie told Dermot and co-host Josie Gibson: “We saw a man sleeping in a sleeping bag and I heard a train coming and he wandered over to the tracks and onto the tracks.

“I went up to him and said ‘what are you doing?’, he said ‘I’m going to kill myself tonight’.”
