Ben Napier is excited to explore an old barn on his clients’ property in the next episode home town – but Erin Napier, who fights bugs while sorting through discarded furniture, is less enthusiastic about the task.
“The barn isn’t in the best shape, which means the waste should be better,” Ben explains in PEOPLE’s exclusive preview of Sunday’s episode.
“This is convenient,” Ben declares, picking up the five-sided table. Erin then finds the missing top, calling it “beautiful”.
“The mosquitoes are pretty bad here,” Erin tells Ben, asking, “Wait a minute, is there a bug in my hair?”

“I think it’s just the breeze,” Ben tries to reassure her. “I can’t see anything, honey.”
“This is what happens when you become a drug addict,” says Erin.

While Erin tells Ben that the walnut paneling “looks expensive” to him, and admits that the colorful shelf is “very on brand” for the house they’re working on, she encourages him to finish, observing, “I feel like you’ve got a good stack here. ”

“Do you want to look some more?” Ben suggests, to which Erin replies, “Not really. Mosquitoes are eating me alive.”
When Ben asked if Erin wanted to look in another part of the barn, she quickly replied, “No, of course not,” adding, “Let’s go.”
“This could be your last trip,” says Ben.
“Get back to me in the winter,” advises Erin.
In the episode titled “Old World, New Construction,” the couple helps the newlyweds transition from a tiny house to an older house given to them by their family. The HGTV stars decided to bulldoze the house and come up with a new design to match their “eclectic, English apothecary style.”
Flying insects aren’t the only unwanted visitors Erin has faced on the show this season.

In the January premiere, Erin was surprised to discover a lizard while removing the shutters from the house she and Ben were renovating for a Canadian family who had moved to Laurel, Miss.

“I hate lizards,” she declared. “I really didn’t expect to find anything. That was disturbing.”
Erin said she was “terrified of lizards,” adding, “I know it doesn’t make sense.”
“To me, lizards and snakes are exactly the same thing,” she continued.

When Ben asked what she thought of frogs, she wasn’t a fan of them either. “She thinks of frogs and lizards as snakes with legs,” says Ben.
“This is my irrational fear,” Erin admitted. “I get scared of lizards and someone thinks ‘Well, this is funny’ and they get a lizard and try to put it on me and then I’d die.”
