Later, BJP MP and committee president Vinod Sonkar informed reporters that Moitra has been summoned to appear before the panel on October 31. According to him, the committee also decided to write to the ministries of home affairs and information technology, sharing with them all correspondence and conversations between Moitra, Dehadrai and businessman Darshan Hiranandani.

The board made this ruling on Thursday afternoon after hearing oral evidence from Dehadrai and Dubey. Earlier, Dubey had written two letters: one to IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, asking him to look at the IP addresses of Moitra’s Lok Sabha login credentials to see if they had been accessed by someone else, and the other to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, claiming there were allegations that Moitra was accepting bribes to protect the interests of the Hiranandani group.

In an affidavit filed with the Ethics Committee on October 19, Darshan Hiranandani, chief executive officer of the Hiranandani Group, said Moitra had given him her credentials to apply to parliament so he could “ask questions” immediately “on her behalf when needed.” ” this letter was sent by the PMO and he (Darshan) was forced to sign it,” Moitra added, calling the letter a “joke”. Darshan Hiranandani, who lives in Dubai, said in a three-page affidavit that Moitra ” thought that the only way to target Sh.Modi was by attacking Sh.Gautam Adani and his group were peers and belong to the same state of Gujarat.” The affidavit was submitted to the commission and released by the Hiranandani Group’s corporate communications team.
