Eva Amurri Claps Back at Critics 'Scandalized' by Her Breasts in Bustier Wedding Dress: See Her Response

Eva Amurri won’t let anyone rain on her parade — not even the haters.

In fact, she would invite everyone who has a problem with her wedding dress to take a closer look, because she adores it.

Amurri, daughter of Susan Sarandon and director Franco Amurri, married chef Ian Hock on June 29 in a beautiful strapless Kim Kassas gown. While recapping her big day (which she shared exclusively with PEOPLE) on her Instagram Stories on June 30, the actress and lifestyle blogger wrote over a photo with her new husband, “To everyone who is scandalized by my breasts not being ‘covered’.. . . .

“Feel free to record this for later,” Amurri, 39, added over a zoomed-in photo of her chest with a kissy face emoji.

Amurra’s dress was a corseted design that she purchased at Bridal Reflections in New York. “I love that it has a vintage feel and is ultra-feminine, but not over-the-top,” she told PEOPLE. “I wanted to feel sexy but elegant, and I think the dress is the perfect balance.”

She paired it with a dramatic veil that gathered around her and only added to the glamour.

Eva Amurri celebrates her wedding eve with a ‘Retro Glam’ bachelorette party in New Orleans! (Exclusive)

The wedding, which took place at Windrift Hall in New York’s Hudson Valley, was held in front of 40 guests — and a lot of rain, Amurri revealed on her Instagram Stories. She wrote on social media that they had to adjust their ceremony at the last minute, and the hairstyle she spent two hours on ended up being “slow”.

But she didn’t care because in the end everything was exactly as it should have been. She also joked that everyone’s skin looked beautiful in the rain.

Her wedding had a French garden party theme (and her mom even played up the theme with a floral suit from SuitShop!). They also used a lot of “natural colors” throughout the decor, to keep the feel whimsical but earthy. The couple also wanted to keep the whole day fairly low-key and intimate.

“We wanted to write each other our own love letters to read as vows, which was so special to us,” she told PEOPLE. “We also didn’t have any wedding party other than the children’s, and it was perfect. Major [her son] He walked me to the altar, which was an experience I will never forget.”

All three of Amurri’s children — daughter Marlowe Mae, 9, and sons Major James, 7, and Mateo Antoni, 4, who she shares with ex-husband Kyle Martin — were included in the ceremony. She had all three of her children participate in a “hand fast” with the ribbons they had chosen with her and Hock.

After the ceremony, she changed into another look: a Kim Kassas mini dress with a feather hem, floral lace and sequins. “I paired it with custom Nike Air Force Ones that were embellished with pearls and our wedding date. It felt like Priscilla Presley meets street style!”
