Eva Mendes Responds to Ryan Gosling’s Viral Critics Choice Awards Moment: ‘I Love Him!’

Eva Mendes pays tribute to her partner Ryan Gosling at the Critics Choice Awards.

The actress, 49, responded to Gosling’s deadpan reaction at the awards show on Sunday by sharing a GIF of the hilarious moment on her Instagram account.

As Gosling, 43, looked stunned and raised his eyebrows as he reacted to the news that his Barbie the film’s song “I’m Just Ken” won Best Song at the annual ceremony.

“I LOVE HIM!!!!” she wrote the recording.

“😂 So brilliant!” added Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham in the comments section.

The actor also jokingly shook his head in disbelief as he stood to applaud power ballad writers Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt as they took to the stage to accept the award from hosts Bella Ramsey and Anthony Ramos.

Music producer Ronson, 48, then addressed Gosling in the audience and said: “Ryan Gosling, this is your award as much as ours. You made the audience fall in love with this song with your unsurpassed performance, so thank you.”

Mendes’ Instagram post comes after Gosling praised his partner at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Saturday night.

While Gosling was presented with the Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film at the festival, he greeted Mendes and their two daughters — Esmeralda Amada, 9, and Amada Lee, 7 — during his acceptance speech.

Explaining how being an actor has allowed him to play different roles throughout his career, Gosling added: “Most importantly, I met the girl of my dreams, Eva Mendes, and had two dream children.”

“I dreamed of making movies one day, and now movies have turned my life into a dream,” he continued.
