One optical illusion, which shows a girl chasing a pink ball on the street, appeared in Canada, writes The Boston Globe.
Drivers speeding down the street often slowed down to see the optical illusion.
Drivers noticed that the illusion was on the school street.
The illusion, dubbed the “Pavement Patty,” was temporarily seen on the street in 2010 during the back-to-school season.
“You probably don’t expect a child to run into traffic,” read a black sign near the optical illusion.
The illusion was not an IQ test.
Instead, lawmakers used it as a ploy to get drivers to slow down.
The Pavement Patty was a three-dimensional sticker used near West Vancouver Elementary School in Canada.
The sticker is placed on the road to make drivers slow down in the school zone.
Jennifer Smith, then senior program manager for Community Against Preventable Injuries, said the installation highlighted the speed of drivers in a school zone.

“The idea behind this installation and all of Preventable’s work is to get people’s attention and make them think about their behavior,” Smith said.
“Although this installation was done in 2010, Preventable still receives questions about the sticker to this day.”
Although the installation raised awareness of road traffic issues, Smith said it was removed after local motorists raised concerns about the girl sticker.
“Some people have expressed concern that the sticker will scare or distract drivers, potentially increasing the risk of crashes,” Smith added.
