Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel’s feud was as heated as any plot in the film Fast and furious franchise.

Since 2016, countless reports of behind-the-scenes drama between Diesel and Johnson have followed the actors even after filming in 2017. The fate of the furious – the starting point of their long-standing feud.

During the filming of the eighth part of the cult series, it was said that the two men clashed several times. However, from the summer of 2023 Furious actors have seemingly settled their differences, and the WWE star has announced his official return to the franchise.

“Last summer, Vin and I put the past behind us,” Johnson posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) June 1, 2023 “We will lead with brotherhood and determination — and always take care of the franchise, characters and FANS we love.”

On August 8, 2016, Johnson shared a lengthy, now-deleted Instagram post in which he praised his girlfriends and The fate of the furious crew, but invited some of his male colleagues (though not by name).

“There is no other franchise that makes my blood boil more than this one,” Johnson wrote. “My female co-stars are always amazing and I love them. My male co-stars are a different story. Some act like stand-up men and real professionals, while others don’t.”

He added: “Those who aren’t are too chickens— to do anything about it. Sweets a—-. When you watch this movie next April and you don’t think I’m in one of these scenes and my blood is boiled — you’re right.”

According to TMZ, after sharing their post, Johnson and Diesel reportedly met up in an attempt to patch things up privately — though it was unclear at the time if the two had reconciled.

In April 2017, Diesel cleared up the news about his run-ins with Johnson – and appeared to quell a rumored feud with his costar – in an interview with USA Today. “I don’t think the world really realizes how close we are, in a weird way,” he told the news outlet.

“I think some things may be exaggerated. I don’t think that was his intention,” Diesel said. “I know he appreciates how hard I work on this franchise. In my house, he’s Uncle Dwayne.”

Diesel added that the franchise’s protection extends to his relationship with Johnson.

“I’m protecting the franchise. I’m protecting everybody, including Dwayne. I’ve protected Dwayne more than he’ll ever know. And it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t have to know. But he appreciates it. He knows it,” he said. . “Dwayne has only one Vin in his life. Dwayne Johnson has only one older brother in this movie world, and that’s me.”

“My little brother Dwayne… the time has come,” Diesel wrote. “The world is waiting for the final Quickly 10. As you know, my kids call you Uncle Dwayne in my house. There isn’t a holiday that goes by without them sending you good wishes… but the time has come.”

December 2021: Dwayne Johnson calls out Vin Diesel’s “manipulation”

In an interview with CNN published in December 2021, Johnson addressed an Instagram post Diesel had made a month earlier, in which he publicly asked Johnson to return to the hit film series.

“I was very surprised by Vin’s recent announcement,” Johnson told CNN. “Last June, when Vin and I actually connected not through social media, I told him directly — and privately — that I wasn’t coming back to the franchise.”

“I was firm but warm in my words and said that I would always support the cast and always root for the success of the franchise, but that there was no way I was going back,” he said. “I also spoke privately with my partners at Universal, all of whom were very supportive because they understood the issue.”

Johnson also called the plea “an example” of Diesel’s “manipulation.”

On June 1, 2023 Black Adam the star confirmed his return to Fast and furious franchise. “Yes, it’s true. Hobbs is back,” Johnson said in an Instagram video.

Leaving his conflicts with Diesel in the past, he said: “Despite our differences, me and Vin, we’ve been like brothers for years, and despite our differences, when you lead with – number one, determination – but also you think about the future and the plans that are much bigger than ourselves.”

“Those bigger plans are construction,” Johnson added. “They are the North Star.”
