Faisal Kapadia met his wife Seema for the first time in 1989. Speaking about his family during a media interaction, he said:

I met Sterling at the beginning of her journey. In 2000, my eldest son Armaan was born. We had just brought him back from filming the music video for “Duur” when he was born. Then Jibran was born in 2004. So over the past 20 years, the kids have grown up and now I really want to spend some time with them and see where and what I draw inspiration from. “

Profession

Strings

Faisal Kapadia started his music career during his graduation when he founded the band “Strings” with his friends Bilal Maqsood, Rafiq Wazir Ali and Kareem Bashir Bhoy. Initially, the band signed with EMI Records. Despite selling 20,000 copies in its first week, their early efforts in synthetic sounds and rhythms were not immediately recognized. Two years later, the band released their second album “2”, which contained their first hit song “Sar Kiye Yeh Paha”. The song earned the Strings widespread critical recognition. After the release of the second album, the members decided to take a vacation and concentrate on studying and preparing for their final exams. To maintain the band’s reputation, Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood agreed to release a new song in 2000. The song was titled “Duur” and was followed by another song titled “Dhaani” (2003).

coke studio

The turning point for me was when I got a call from Xulfi. ” I was on vacation with my family in the summer of ’21 when he called me and asked me if I wanted to perform this song, and I told him, “Xulfi bhai, I never saw myself making music after Strings .” “But that 30-minute chat gave me a lot of motivation and made me feel like my destiny was calling me. “The musician in me was hooked again. “

His debut song “Phir Milenge” is strong and emotional, with a simple chord structure that’s neither redundant nor overdone. Faisal’s vocals, his thick vocals, and the fiery, violent energy of the Young Stunners transform the song into a tribute to all those who have loved and then left them behind. In the video, the three artists wander through a maze filled with lovely textures and memories. The singers travel together but never meet, searching for forgotten artifacts. The video was recorded in one take by filmmaker Zeeshan Parwez and his intrepid team.

Facts/Trivia

  • Faisal enjoys working with Young Stunners, another Pakistani rap and hip-hop group featuring Talha Anjum and Talhah Yunus. He excitedly recounted his experiences with them

It’s important to keep evolving and trying new things. The first time I met the Young Stunners was on set and I made them listen to a rap song that Strings had written years before they were probably even born! For their part, the Young Stunners don’t sound like Pakistani boys imitating Drake, they sound like sharp-eyed city kids with something to say. Add to that Faisal’s signature croon, We had a song that made us feel like hope was just around the corner.”

    He added,

I realized I still had a lot to learn after CS, especially when working with Young Stunners. I am determined to work with more new people, especially young people. I even instructed Xulfi to guide me through the song. Because there are still so many places I haven’t explored yet. I’m not looking for hits; I want to experiment and try new things. They say if you don’t try, you’ve already lost. But if you try, it’s possible to succeed. “

  • Faisal Kapadia said he firmly believes that no matter how big or small something is, as long as it inspires anyone. If you go to bed every night looking forward to the morning because you want to do it again, then a person’s life will be wonderful. This inspiration can be found in anything, whether it’s sports or anything else you enjoy. He waits for those moments to inspire him, and he is eager to continue learning.
  • Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood officially confirmed the band’s disbandment via Instagram on March 25, 2021. Fans and followers were devastated after news of the band’s breakup broke. When Faisal Kapadia was asked about this during a media interaction, he said:

Strings decided to end its journey last year and I personally feel that we are really lucky to have made this decision,…. In 1992, after the release of our second album, Sar Kiye Yeh Pahar, we canceled the release plan and did not return to making more music until 2000. We also did many seasons of Coca-Cola Studio. But last year, after realizing how far we’d come and how much we didn’t want to disrupt, we decided to quit for good. The songs Pilar and I wrote together will live on forever. Gaanay hamesha zinda rehtay hain, even if the artist leaves. I will perform them; Pilar will perform them. If you’re familiar with us, you know that Pilar and I have always been opposites. As strings, we complement each other. Where I am weak, he is strong, and vice versa. So, because of that, we learned a lot from each other. We won’t let it go. We will create something new out of it. “
