Kiran Choudhry is an Indian politician and a senior member of the Indian National Congress in Haryana who served as the excise and tax minister in the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government. Cabinet Secretary for Public Health Engineering.

Kiran Choudhry was born on Sunday, 5 June 1955 in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh (age 68 years 2023). Her zodiac sign is Gemini. She obtained her BA from Adarsh College, Bhiwani, Haryana in 1975 and her LLB from Panjab University, Chandigarh in 1986 and subsequently started practicing before the Supreme Court of India; however, 15 years later, when She gave up the position when she was elected unopposed as deputy speaker of the House of Representatives. In 1986, Kiran Choudhry joined the All India Mahila Congress as its general secretary. In 1998, she was elected as the Deputy Speaker of the Delhi Assembly. In 2004, she lost the federal election to independent candidate Tarlochan Singh. She was first elected to the Haryana Legislative Assembly from Tosham constituency in 2005; this was a by-election held after the seat fell vacant following the death of her husband. Kiran Choudhry polled 1,25,858 votes and defeated his nearest rival, independent candidate Mangal Singh in the 2005 Tosham by-election Khreta). Haryana Forest Scam Case
In 2009, Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Sanjiv Chaturvedi uncovered a fake plantation scam worth several crores of rupees, allegedly involving Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Kiran Choudhry and others, with government funds misappropriated. A hearing by India’s Supreme Court began after an inquiry committee of the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) found Chaturvedi’s allegations against the Haryana government to be true.
Ancestral property dispute in Bansi Lal, 2009
A dispute arose over the ancestral property of former Haryana Chief Minister Bansi Lal. Bansi Lal’s widow Vidya Devi had lived in the house before Bansi Lal’s eldest son Ranbir Singh Mahendra forced his way in two weeks later ancestral property and gets into a fight with Kieran’s bodyguards. Later, the court provided security to Kiran after she filed a case against Ranbir. Vidya Devi’s last rites were performed at Ranbir’s house, but Ranbir Singh Mahendra refused to allow Kiran to attend the last rites. Kieran then moved into the house in question for 11 days. Ranbir argued that the house belonged to a trust headed by Vidya Devi and should be converted into a memorial, but the Panchayat concluded that Kiran and her daughter had the right to stay there.

In 2022, Ajay Maken, the Congress party’s Union Lok Sabha candidate from Haryana, lost the election after the Speaker declared the vote invalid. According to Mr. Maken, it was Kiran Choudhry’s vote. Mr Marken said of this in an interview:
When Kiran Choudhry came out after casting her vote, she herself said she put a “tick” on the candidate’s name. We saw the ticked ballot numbers and checked their serial numbers, so there was no doubt that the rejected ballot belonged to Kiran Chowdhury. ”
