Fan Who Sold Taylor Swift 'Rare' Chiefs Jacket Reveals Why She Priced It at Only $169 (Exclusive)

The fan who sold her Kansas City Chiefs bomber jacket Taylor Swift answers fans’ burning questions — and we’re here for it.

TikTok user @courttokslol, who posted on the platform on Nov. 5 that her family sold her childhood Chiefs varsity jacket on eBay, only to realize it ended up on Swift at the Nov. 4 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is back on the platform social media to answer commenters’ questions about the jacket, its sales and more.

Breaking down the timeline of it all, Court revealed on TikTok that she and her family sold a “rare” bomber jacket on eBay back in August.

“We sold it last August, so it’s definitely cool to see how many months it takes to plan each of these outfits that she wears,” she said in her latest TikTok, adding that the uniqueness of the jacket definitely upped its appeal factor.

“It’s definitely a rare jacket, so, like, that’s why we even noticed him wearing it, because I think ours was the only one on eBay at the time we posted it,” she said. “So it makes sense that Taylor and her stylist had their eye on this particular piece, they bought it from us. It’s so crazy, and it’s crazy to know that they’re looking at these resale places and it’s amazing that they’re reusing old, vintage pieces.”

Court answered other questions, including what size the jacket is (men’s small) and why she sold the jacket in the first place (it no longer fits her and she is moving).

She and her family aren’t new to the eBay selling game either, but this is certainly the first time longtime Chiefs fans have found one of their items in the hands of a celebrity — but Court hopes it won’t be the last.

“We have a few more Chiefs items listed and you better believe we’ll be keeping an eye out for Taylor’s stylist’s name every time we sell it!” she tells PEOPLE exclusively. She also joked that several TikTok commenters told her she should have sold the jacket at a higher price than the $169 it cost, but, she says, “obviously when we were listing it we had no idea who would buy it.”

In her original video, Court — who was appropriately wearing Swift merch — said she’s a “longtime Swiftie” and couldn’t believe it when she saw the Grammy winner wearing a jacket that looked suspiciously like the one she and her family recently sold on eBay. But she knew the one they sold didn’t go to a buyer named “Taylor Swift.”

She said her dad eventually confirmed that they had sold the jacket and shipped it to California from Kansas City — and when she looked up the buyer’s name, it matched Swift’s stylist’s name.

“So we checked and double-checked and not only is it the exact same jacket, but in the pictures that we listed on eBay, you can see, like, the bandage on it and you can see the exact same bandage in the picture of him wearing it” , she explained. “I can’t make this up.”

At the game, where Swift was cheering on boyfriend Travis Kelce, the singer wore a jacket with loose Agolda denim pants, a black top, a black Dior satchel and $2,195 Christian Louboutin Santia Botta thigh-high boots.
