BOXING fans rejoiced after the UFC legend announced that he is Mike Tyson’s backup against Jake Paul.
YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul is set to take on the heavyweight icon in a controversial bout on July 20 in Texas.

But the fight was uncertain when Tyson suffered health problems due to an ulcer outbreak.
Immediately, the likes of boxer Ryan Garcia and former UFC star Mike Perry hinted that they could replace Iron Mike.
But MMA cult hero Chael Sonnen went a step further by claiming he was already signed as a replacement opponent.
Sonnen, 47, posted online: “I guess it was wise of Jake Paul to sign me as Tyson’s backup right???
“If Jake Paul realizes he might fight ME in a month, HE might have a heart attack.”
It drew mixed reactions online with one saying, “I wasn’t planning on buying the pay-per-view, but I would buy this one.”
Another added: “Tyson should sit this out so you can show him how a bad guy does it.”
But one replied, “In your dreams.”

ONE is a notorious YouTuber turned boxer who has conquered the sport.
Another terrorized everyone in the ring in the 1980s and 1990s, famously biting off an opponent’s ear in one fight.
Iron Mike has rebuilt his life after squandering a £300m fortune on a cannabis empire and is a big advocate of the drug.
And as Paul continued to climb the rankings, he spent the money on a fleet of amazing cars.
While Tyson had more money than sense until £15 million in debt forced him to part with his prized car collection.
Paul now lives in a lavish £13 million mansion in Puerto Rico, after escaping his hectic life in LA.
But these days, Tyson is lounging in his £2.5million Vegas estate with wife Lakhi, whom he married in 2009.
Paul is not yet married, but he is smitten with his speed skater girlfriend Jutta Leerdam.
She will be by his side when her man puts his 9-1 boxing record on the line against two-time heavyweight champion Tyson on July 20.

Sonnen, who has a 31–17–1 MMA record, is scheduled to make his boxing debut on June 15 against old UFC rival Anderson Silva.
But the American – nicknamed The Bad Guy – is a serial troll known for his outlandish claims and bragging.

And, despite Tyson’s medical emergency, SunSport have been informed the fight will NOT be affected.
Paul followed up by posting: “You like to make up s*** before you know the facts about clicks/likes. Nothing has changed.”
Tyson, 57, suffered a scare while flying from Miami to LA after feeling nauseous and dizzy.
Paramedics rushed to the plane to provide medical assistance to the legendary boxer, who later recovered.

Tyson is set to fight as a pro for the first time since 2005 despite an exhibition return with Roy Jones Jr in 2020.
But his fight against 9-1 Paul was officially cleared as Iron Mike spoke for the first time since his medical incident.
He quipped: “I feel 100% now even though I don’t have to be to beat Jake Paul.”
