Felicia Taylor A Former CNN Anchor Was Arrested For Hit-and- Run

Felicia Taylor, a former CNN anchor, was recently taken into custody in Palm Beach for an alleged hit and run. According to Palm Beach police, she was charged on July 28 for allegedly hitting another car, injuring the driver, and then fleeing the scene while driving her vehicle. Although the retired journalist apparently denied the claims, official records show that Taylor collided with another car during a traffic stop. Page Six obtained the following statement:

“A white Mercedes hit his car from behind.” He forced the collision [him] smash the steering wheel, resulting in many injuries.”

Taylor was reportedly spotted leaving the event in her Mercedes after the crash “without offering assistance or pausing to offer information,” according to the report. She reportedly said she was leaving The Colony Property, but did not respond when authorities informed her the hotel was closed. Taylor also said she did not drink and drive and did not use any prescription drugs. The officer stated that he did not smell alcohol on the former anchor. According to Page Six, the injured driver in the other car suffered discomfort to his jaw, head, neck and back and was treated at the scene by medical personnel. Meanwhile, Felicia Taylor was examined by a doctor and confirmed that she was unharmed.

Taylor was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and charged with reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident with injury. She was subsequently released on $3,000 bail after pleading not guilty to the charges. The police also reportedly towed away Taylor’s car, and a bottle of white wine was discovered in it. According to reports, the bottle was “three-quarters full” and arrived with a “silver thermos” containing an “unknown alcoholic beverage,” which was also “three-quarters full.”
