Guide FFXIV Endwalker: Anabaseios: The Tenth Circle

Anabaseios: The Tenth Circle is the second encounter in the third and final season eight, regular raid content released with patch 6.4 Final Fantasy XIV: Doom Walker. It is available at level 90 upon completion of Anabaseios: The Ninth Circle and is unlocked through the quest Pandæmonium Awakens. It can be done through Duty Finder with a minimum ilv of 615 and rewards each device type with Annabaseios Unsung Tokens redeemable for Cheng Djole at (x:10.3, y:9.7) located in Meghaduta, Radz -at-Han. Mylenie at (x:8.4, y:27.7) in Aporia, Labyrinthos will also exchange Anabaseios Unsung tokens for the device.

For the sake of your other players, keep in mind that this is new (at launch) content. A little friendly explanation can go a long way. Likewise, don’t be afraid to take advice. You may learn something that you don’t know.

confusion

  • Silkspit – Three players will have spider webs that move under their feet. Standing in the grid, this can happen when you are grouped, as the three players in the grid are randomly arranged, connecting you to the player in the grid by a close tie. Move away to disconnect the lanyard. Webbed players will also find that standing close enough to the columns on either side of the arena will also tie them to the columns. This leaves the main direction of the arena open, allowing membranous players to stand without the column problem. This is not necessary as there is enough room on the platform to scatter all players if you are careful, but letting the grid players scatter to the cards can simplify the need for scattering. If you don’t disconnect the leash before the puddle melts, the sticky net will get between the players or poles involved, holding them in place. Getting hit while caught in the net also greatly increases the damage taken. To break them, a free player must go through them. Note that tapping the web will apply a gravity reduction effect, which can be detrimental later in the battle.
  • Pandæmonic Pillars – Six pillars will drop semi-randomly around the arena. Six players must jump in or risk any unnoticed column explosions that deal damage and apply mining stacks. The first group of turrets will always create a close-range AoE below them after they land, so be sure to move away. There are two types of pillars:
    • The pylons fire anchor chains from fleshy balloons in the cages that surround them. This is straight forward AoE.
    • The pillars unleash a winged, haloed, fleshy monster that fires a laser ring around them. These are small donuts that you can center.
  • Ultima – Team damage cannot be avoided.
  • Pandæmonic Pillar – This has always been the mainstay of donuts.
  • Pandæmonic Meltdown – Linearly stacked AoE.
  • Soul Grip – A shared tank destroyer, hit four times.
  • Entangled Cobwebs – Four large webbed puddles will appear in the corners of the arena, along with two smaller puddles at the feet of two random players. You may want to shuffle from the middle at the start of your throw, but it shouldn’t matter if the puddle falls in the middle. Sticky mesh wire will form between any poles the net puddle touches, so keep that in mind when positioning. Cobwebs falling on columns in front of the arena will create bridges with neighboring platforms, which can help:
  • Silkspit – This time there will be four players with webbed. With the extra platforms available, players can spread out further if they wish, although this is optional.
  • Pandæmonic Ray – The boss will stick his neck out and look at one side of the arena, eventually firing a laser at that half of the floor.
  • Split energy beams – energy circles will form in the center of the platform, making it uninhabited. Then, a series of thin conical AoEs will be created from this central point. The cones will start at two opposite positions and appear in a chain that rotates around the outside of the central energy circle until they cover the entire floor. They can be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise. Just stand on one of the last rays to appear, then move into the safe space left after the first ray is fired.
  • pandemic collapse
  • hold the soul
  • Entangled Network – This time there are only three corners with big circles and six players with small circles. Note which bridges are available to side platforms.
  • Pandæmonic Ray – This *doesn’t* reach small side platforms, so don’t cross the bridge first only one in case.
  • Touchdown – The boss will retreat and jump to the center of the main platform. If you haven’t visited the available sub-platforms, now is the time to do so.
  • Creation*
  • Pandæmonic Trụ Pillar
  • pandemic collapse
  • Hell of Suffering – Boss will deal a series of eight hits to the pedestal, each dealing fairly small damage, but will deal massive damage if left unchecked. After 8 attacks, a full platform attack occurs from north to south. Be sure to get very close to the origin ahead, or you will be destroyed.
  • feathers
  • Wicked Steps – Two larger towers will appear with tank-breaking symbols on them. Each person should have a tank.
  • Pandæmonic Trụ Pillar
  • entangled website
  • Grounding
  • pluck
  • Ray
  • feathers
  • hold the soul
  • *Possibly a repeat from Ultima.

Congratulations, you have completed Anabaseios: Tenth Circle!
