Police have not released the name of the teenage driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene by Miami-Dade EMS.

A GoFundMe, raising money for the family to cover “expenses related to this tragedy,” identifies the 14-year-old as Jazmin Keltz. The fundraiser raised more than $8,000.

“They want to know what happened and why it happened and how it happened,” Michael Feiler, an attorney representing Jazmin’s family, told NBC’s WESH2. “We all want to see our children grow up and wish them the best, and in my personal experience, there is no greater tragedy than the possibility of losing a child.”
