A FANTASTIC search has been launched for an Australian backpacker who disappeared from a London hostel two weeks ago.
Jessica Parkinson, 29, has not been seen since Sunday December 8 after sending a “cryptic” message to a colleague – and her family are now desperate to hear from her.

The backpacker has not been seen since Dec. 8, officers said
Jessica had recently been evicted from her flat and was living at the St Christopher’s Inn hostel in Borough High Street where she was last seen on December 8.
The father reported the backpacker missing that same day after she failed to make contact with relatives in Queensland.
Three days later, on Wednesday December 11, Jessica did not show up for her 4pm shift at Texas Joes BBQ – where she had worked for the past year.
When managers texted her asking where she was, she claimed she had gotten the start time wrong and promised to be “there” by 5 p.m.
But Jessica never showed up for work and sent a “cryptic” message to a colleague later that evening.
The restaurant’s owner, Joe Walters, contacted Jessica’s father on December 13 after she didn’t show up for three shifts in a row.
The worried father then said Mr. Walters that the police had already been alerted and that it was being treated as a missing person case.
The 29-year-old backpacker was reported missing for the second time last Friday.
Restaurant owner Joe Walters told MailOnline: “Our manager (initially) texted asking where she was and she said she thought she’d be at 5pm and she’d be right back.
“That was very unusual for her. She didn’t show up, but that evening she sent a cryptic message to another member of staff. She didn’t mention being away from work.
“Then she didn’t show up for work on Thursday, and when she didn’t show up on Friday, I contacted her father in Australia.
“He told me that the police had been alerted and that he was being dealt with by the missing persons unit.”

Anyone with information on Jessica’s whereabouts is urged to contact Matt.
She is described as 5ft4 tall with blue eyes and reddish blonde hair.
Joe said: “She’s very smart, outgoing and friendly.
“Her two sisters and father didn’t hear anything. And I imagine the police know she didn’t use the passport.”
A police spokesman said: “Police are currently investigating the whereabouts of Jessica Parkinson, 29, after she was last seen on Sunday, December 8 in Bermondsey.
“Anyone who may have seen Jessica is urged to contact police quoting reference number, 01/1196494/24.”
