They were last seen at 2am in Aberdeen as they headed towards the river in sub-zero temperatures.
The disturbing new footage shows the sisters in the same spot nearly twelve hours ago.
They were caught on camera carrying rucksacks and visiting the River Dee by day.
It is believed that they did not speak to anyone before heading home and then did not leave until they returned to the river bank.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have had some interaction with them and may be able to shed some light on their behavior during the afternoon visit.
Chief Superintendent David Howieson said: “We have carried out a significant search of public and private CCTV footage as we try to establish the sisters’ movements.
“For several hours the footage has been reviewed by a dedicated team of officers and so far we have established that Eliza and Henrietta were on the footpath next to the River Dee at 2.50pm on Monday 6 January 2025.
“Although the sisters have not spoken to anyone else at this time, the area was busy and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen them.
“Please consider, have you noticed anyone matching their description?
“After returning home, there is no indication that either Eliza or Henrietta left their apartment again until shortly before they were last seen on the River Dee.”
Detectives also announced that Henrietta texted their landlady while they were on a late-night road trip.

She sent a message at 2:12 a.m. saying the sisters, both 32, would not be returning to their downtown apartment.
After that, the phone either turned off or was destroyed, but has not been used since.
Their landlady was so concerned about the timing of the message that she visited the apartment hours later.
When she saw some of the sisters’ belongings, including a mobile phone, she raised the alarm.

Police officers launched a massive search operation and began questioning his work colleagues, friends and relatives.
The case is not being treated as suspicious and there are no suggestions that anything sinister happened to the girls.
Chief Superintendent David Howieson said: “Extensive inquiries are ongoing and I would stress again that there is nothing to suggest any suspicious circumstances or criminality.
“We had a positive response from the public to our appeals, and I thank everyone who has already responded.
“Again I would urge anyone with any information that could help find Eliza and Henrietta to get in touch.
“We remain in regular contact with Eliza and Henrietta’s family in Hungary and will continue to support them at this very difficult time.
“The search will continue over the coming days and our officers will continue to do everything they can to find Eliza and Henrietta.”
The sisters set off for the River Dee in the early hours of Tuesday 7th January
CCTV footage shows them struggling with the unlit track.
Since then, their bank accounts and mobile phones have not been used and they have not contacted friends or family.
Officers have a “strong theory” that they went into the water on one of the coldest nights of the year.
We said the sound recorded around the time they were last seen could be a woman’s scream.
Crews have been searching the river for more than a week, but have found no trace of the girls or their personal belongings.
But the girls left no evidence that they intended to harm themselves and efforts are underway to establish whether they were able to walk away from the river without being caught again by CCTV.
Friends and relatives said the two were “happy and settled” in Scotland and gave no sign that anything was wrong.
Their family in Hungary, including the third triplet, Edit, waited impatiently for news.
Brother Jozsef said the girls never told them they were planning to leave the apartment, which surprised them.
Twins Frances and Johanna Harper, both 55, visited the river to lay flowers in tribute to Eliza and Henrietta.
Johanne reckoned that if they were in trouble, they might have kept it a secret. She said: Johanne said: “If something was going on, they probably wouldn’t have told anyone.
“Even if they were close to the family, they probably wouldn’t have said anything.
“We deal with things ourselves and they’re probably the same.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0735 of Tuesday 7 January 2025.
