List of G-20 summits and members: The upcoming 2023 G20 summit in New Delhi is the eighteenth meeting of the G20. It will be held at Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition and Convention Center (IECC), Pragati Maidan, New Delhi 2023 from September 9-10. The first G20 summit to be held in India, as well as in South Asia, will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The G20 summit in New Delhi with the motto ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ has six agendas:
- Green development, climate change financing and life
- Accelerated, inclusive and resilient growth
- Accelerating progress in achieving sustainable development goals
- Technological transformation and digital public infrastructure
- Multilateral institutions for the 21st century
- Women-led development
- Inclusion of the African Union in the G20

What is G 20?
The G-20 is an international forum for governments and central bank governors. According to the number of members, it is called the G-20, which is known as the group of twenty. The G-20 was established in 1999 to discuss policies related to the promotion of international financial stability.
The Group of 20 or (G-20) is the main forum for deciding opinion on international economic cooperation and some other critical issues like terrorism, human trafficking, global warming etc. It is worth mentioning that G 20 members represent about 85% of global GDP, over 75% of global trade and two-thirds of the world’s population.

Governance of the G-20
The G 20 presidency rotates annually according to a system that ensures regional balance over time. There is no permanent secretariat. Instead, the G20 president is responsible for setting the G20 agenda in consultation with other members. The G20 is an informal political forum.
The first G-20 summit was held in Washington, DC (United States) from November 14 to 15, 2008. The 14th G-20 summit was held in Osaka (Japan) on June 28 and 29, 2019. At this summit, the Indian the delegation is led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In conclusion, the highest-level gatherings, known as G20 summits, bring together heads of state or government from member countries to discuss important issues facing the world. These summits are usually held annually and are hosted by different member countries.
