Gabrielle Union is getting a Christmas makeover thanks to her daughter, Kaavia James.
On Saturday, the actress, 51, posted an adorable video on Instagram of herself posing in a chic outfit styled by her five-year-old, and even Kaavia described how she created the special look for her mom.
The sweet clip started with an off-camera voice asking Kaaviya, “Tell me what you did with mom?” before the little girl began describing how we “did our make-up,” — which included powder blue eyeshadow — followed by “lip gloss” and “then the dress,” as she held up a strappy black maxi dress that chose for which her mom wore to reveal the “shoes” she chose, a pair of gold platform heels.
Union then held up a small purple purse and said her daughter “chose this little fancy number.”

Kaavia – who wore a colorful tank top and pink leggings – then addressed the camera directly, after being asked by the cameraman how she got so creative with her look.
“I saw them on the Internet and I made them for my mom,” the little girl said simply.
“She finds inspo and I find courage 😅. Fun fact: I slept 5 minutes before this 🙃,” Union wrote in the video.

Union shares Kaavia — who was born in November 2018 via surrogacy — with her husband, retired NBA player Dwyane Wade, and often shares sweet moments from their lives on her social media.
Earlier this month, mom and daughter spent some time together at the playground, although the outing didn’t go entirely smoothly for Union.
While trying to go down the slide with Kaaviya, the actress got stuck – and shared a video of the moment on Instagram on December 10.
Carrying Kaavi’s backpack and purse as they went down the slide together, Union’s purse strap unfortunately got stuck at the top.

The Just give star added her voice for part of the video that featured her hilarious mishap, saying: “Yeah, that’s me. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.”
“It rarely happens that I get caught, but the slide had other plans 😂,” the actress wrote in the video.

Union — who along with Wade hosted a “Wade Thanksgiving” party for his family and friends on the holiday this November — gave PEOPLE a glimpse into Kaavia’s personality back in 2019, describing their similar personalities.

Kaaviya’s siblings are Wade’s children from previous relationships. He has a son Zaire (21) and a daughter Zaya (16) with his ex-wife Siovaughn Funches. The 41-year-old also has son Xavier, 10, with Aja Metoyer and is the legal guardian of his nephew Dahveon Morris, 21.
