Gal Gadot is not alone Wonderful woman — she is also a great mom.
The actress and her husband Jaron Varsano married in 2008 and have since had four daughters: Alma in 2011, Maya in 2017, Daniella in 2021 and Ori in 2024. Although Gadot played an Amazonian warrior princess in the film Wonderful woman movies, becoming a mother is what makes her feel most empowered.
“When you give birth, you feel like you’re a god. Like, ‘Oh my God, I did this!'” Gadot told news.com.au in May 2017. “The best thing is to become a mother and give life.”
Gadot further elaborated on her love of childbirth and motherhood in 2022.
“I love giving birth. I would do it once a week if I could. It’s so magical,” Gadot shared with In style. “And I always get an epidural, to be fair, so it’s not as painful. Just the moment you feel you’re creating life, it’s amazing.”
She added: “It’s the most dangerous thing I do: juggling my family life and my acting career.”

Gadot and Varsano’s first daughter, Alma, was born on November 5, 2011 — “a few good [weeks] before my appointment,” Gadot later revealed on Instagram. “Alma decided she’d had enough,” the actress wrote of Alma’s early arrival.
And although Alma’s birth may have surprised Gadot, it was a day that “forever” changed her life.
“She brought so much love and light into our home. So much laughter with cheeky funny moments, so much curiosity, daring and naivety,” Gadot wrote on Instagram on Alma’s 8th birthday in 2019.
She continued: “I’m so happy to be your mother. Thank you for teaching me so much about life that I didn’t even know you were and for giving me the most precious title I could ever ask for. I promise I’ll do anything for you I love and protect forever.”
Becoming a mother to a daughter also helped inspire Gadot to provide a strong female role model as Wonder Woman to young girls (and boys) everywhere.
“I have a four-year-old daughter and she loves princesses, and at the same time she’ll tell me that the princess is so weak, she falls asleep, and the prince will come and kiss her and save her and he’s a hero,” Gadot shared about Alma in 2016. “That’s why I’m so happy that I will be the one to tell the story of Wonder Woman … It is very important for girls and boys to have a female, strong, super hero to look up to.”

Alma can’t just look at her mom Wonderful woman films — in one he also appears in a cameo. IN Wonder Woman 1984a sequel to the original 2017 film, Alma, her sister Maya and Varsano appear in a Christmas scene near the end of the film.
“It meant a lot, especially in that very special scene,” Gadot said of the family episode. “I couldn’t have made my film without the support of my amazing family, and having them in the film with me meant a lot. An amazing, amazing souvenir that we will treasure forever.”

Gadot became a mother of two when her second daughter, Maya, was born on March 20, 2017.
“And then there were four of us… She’s here, Maya. I feel totally blessed and thankful for all the miracles in my life #family #newborn #grateful,” Gadot captioned a picture of the foursome leaving the hospital on Instagram.
Gadot famously filmed justice league and rerecording for Wonderful woman while pregnant with Maya — she even used green screen around her baby bump to camouflage the pregnancy.
“We cut the costume open and had this green screen on her stomach. It was funny as hell – Wonder Woman with a bump,” Gadot said. Rolling stone in 2017.
She elaborated on pregnancy filming: “The default should be for women to do the work, but there’s a long way to go and a lot of reprogramming that needs to be done for both sexes.”

Since Maya has already appeared in both Wonderful woman (via Gadot’s baby bump) i Wonder Woman 1984 (alongside big sister Alma), Gadot hinted at plans to continue the tradition Wonder Woman 3.
“Well, we could,” she said Party tonight about a potential third cameo. “I can get used to it. It’s a nice souvenir in every movie, it will get older and older.”

Gadot revealed in March 2021 that she and Varsano were expecting baby number three — and later said another daughter had joined their crew. “We stick to what we know,” Gadot joked in an April 2021 TV appearance Living with Kelly and Ryan.
And on June 29, 2021, Gadot announced the arrival of their third girl, Danielle, with a rare family selfie on Instagram.
“My sweet family 🖐🏼 Couldn’t be more grateful and happy (and tired 🤪) we are all so excited to welcome Daniella to our family. Sending you all love and health. GG ♥️🖐🏼🖐🏼🖐 🏼🖐🏼🖐🏼” , Gadot wrote alongside the photo.
One of Gadot’s biggest parenting priorities with baby Daniella is making sure “she loves and enjoys her sleep” — and she has a lot of tricks up her sleeve to make that happen. Gadot debuted her “signature ‘please go to sleep’ dance” in a video of her and three-month-old Danielle on her Instagram in September 2021.
“I feel like this is the hardest part of being a parent: the lack of sleep and being tired all the time,” Gadot said on Living with Kelly and Ryan. – That was the most difficult for me.

In August 2023, Gadot spoke again about being a working mother during an interview with to flaunt magazine.
“Having three kids is messy and chaotic in the best possible way,” she said, adding, “If you’re at work, you want to be at home. Then, when you’re at home with the kids, you worry that you’re not doing enough. It can be a vicious cycle – but you have to silence those feelings.”
The actress explained that accepting that she can’t be a perfectionist has helped her find balance.
“I told myself I could do my best and be the best mother I could be,” she said.

Gadot and Varsano announced the arrival of their fourth daughter, Ori, in March 2024. Her birth was a complete surprise to fans who were unaware that Heart of stone the actress was pregnant.
“My sweet baby girl, welcome. The pregnancy wasn’t easy and we made it,” Gadot wrote on Instagram alongside a sweet hospital picture. “You have brought so much light into our lives, living up to your name, Ori, which means ‘my light’ in Hebrew. Our hearts are full of gratitude.”
She added: “Welcome to the house girls..dad is pretty cool too.”
