Gal Luft Wiki, Bio, China Daily – The US government has issued a warrant for missing Israeli researcher Gal Luft, who went missing on Tuesday, April 25. According to the Jerusalem Post, Luft was arrested at Larnaca International Airport in Cyprus after being accused of smuggling weapons to China and Libya.

Gal Luft Bio
Gal Luft is an American-Israeli think-tank leader, author, and academic who was born on May 26, 1966. In addition to being the executive director of the Institute for Global Security Analysis and co-founder of the Set America Free Coalition, Luft served as a lieutenant colonel in the Israel Defense Forces.
Gal was arrested in Cyprus on February 17, 2023, on an Interpol warrant, and is suspected of smuggling firearms. He left the country[4][citation required] after he posted bail and went into hiding. On July 10, 2023, the Department of Justice announced an indictment against Luft, accusing him of violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act and working as an unregistered agent of the Chinese government[citation needed].
The indictment alleges that Luft convinced an unnamed adviser to then-President-elect Donald Trump to support China at the direction of the Chinese government.
Hunter Biden, the son of US President Joe Biden, has been the target of numerous corruption allegations made by Luft, including that Hunter and the Biden family had improper financial ties to the Chinese-controlled energy corporation CEFC. According to Luft, the criminal charges are political retaliation for his accusations.
In 2011, Gal Luft was a senior advisor to the US Energy Security Council.
Gal Luft was co-head of the Institute for Global Security Analysis before the dubious arms deals, according to his LinkedIn profile. He obtained a doctorate in science. He received his doctorate in philosophy from John Hopkins University in Maryland, and in 2011 was appointed a senior advisor to the US Energy Security Council.
He was also the president of International Privacy Machines and an adjunct professor at OSTIM University in Turkey.
Gal Luft, cited by Ynet News as particularly critical of the Biden administration, argued that the president and his cabinet colleagues are acting undemocratically and in their own self-interest. According to Intelligence Online, he belongs to a think tank made up of various authorities and former American spies.
According to Mordechai Tzivin, Gal Luft’s attorney, the Biden administration is pursuing the alleged arms dealer for allegedly giving incriminating testimony against Hunter Biden in a corruption case. The latter is reportedly under investigation for potential tax fraud. The case has been ongoing since last year. Tzivin continued.
“Four years after Luft assisted FBI and Justice Department investigators by providing them with information related to the case, an arrest was made.”
If allowed to testify, Luft could destroy Hunter Biden’s career, Tzivin claims. He responded by saying the Biden administration was only making allegations against him to damage his reputation:
“If it was Russia, this would have already resulted in a diplomatic crisis; it is reasonable to assume that Democrats or some of their colleagues would prefer that he be removed from office.”
His testimony will be extremely damaging, and it will draw attention away from the president as well.
I’m also concerned about possible extradition because I don’t think the US government will protect Luft, Tzivin continued. He argued that since the president was rumored to be looking for Luft, he could be in danger of being harmed.
Gal Luft’s current location is still unknown to Interpol and US authorities.
