Outlander’s Sam Heughan sends fans into frenzy with exciting career update

Sam Heughan just revealed some exciting news about his career and fans are losing it. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the Outlander star confirmed he’ll be on tour throughout July and August, giving fans across the US the chance to meet him.

Sharing a video from one of his previous tours, Sam captioned it: “Summer of Sassenach. I’m on my way and would love to see you guys. I’ll be signing autographs, making cocktail cocktails. thirst and celebrate summer @sassenachspirits!”

Causing a huge response from fans, many were quick to express their excitement in the comments. “VRISTIGGGGGGGGG, see you in LA,” one person replied. “Omg that’s great! Can’t wait to see you in Houston Texas,” another added.

Meanwhile, a third wrote: “So happy for you, Mr. Heughan!! And so happy and emotional that everyone gets to meet you and enjoy your beautiful @sassenachspirits!!”

After the end of the seventh season foreigner – currently airing on Starz – Sam is currently on hiatus, so his tour couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. Back in June, Sam’s co-star, actress Caitriona Balfe, revealed some disappointing news about the production of season eight. Initially, filming for the new episodes was supposed to begin in July, however, the ongoing writers’ strike in Hollywood has delayed the series.

When asked when the final installment of the series will begin filming, Caitriona said: “Well, we had a date. And now with the writers’ strike, who knows? We’ll have to wait and see.”
