Maisie Williams renewed the characteristic silhouette of the French fashion designer Christian Dior.
On Monday, Game of Thrones alum (26) arrived at the premiere of her new series, A new lookin a bold look.
Williams paid homage to the series’ inspiration, Christian Dior, and arrived in the designer’s signature “New Look” style — which includes a cinched waist, small rounded shoulders and a voluminous skirt.
She wore a black leather dress with an exaggerated shawl effect that draped over her shoulders and wrapped around her waist. The skirt of the dress was a mid-length A-line dress with a full skirt.

The actress’ monochromatic look included a pair of black leggings, sheer pleated gloves, a pair of velvet pointed-toe heels and a leather beret.
Williams wore no jewelry except for a pair of dangling diamond earrings. Her glamorous look was also kept understated with a simple soft bronze eyeshadow look and dark maroon matte lipstick.

Maisie Williams lost more than 25 pounds for the role of Catherine Dior in A new look
Williams wasn’t the only one to arrive at the premiere wearing a stunning hat. Her co-stars Juliette Binoche and Todd A. Kessler also showed up with eye-catching headpieces. Kessler, 52, wore a small black top hat. Binoche, 59, wore a wide-brimmed hat and a pair of long black leather gloves alongside Williams.
Both women paid homage to the “New Look,” with Binoche wearing a dress that also featured rounded shoulders that resembled a shawl silhouette, but her dress was maxi-length and cut, a bit of a departure from the brand’s signature style.

Glenn Close also arrived in another significant Dior silhouette. The actress, 76, wore a black structured blazer with a full pleated skirt – and her own pair of leather black gloves.
The three women were photographed with actors Kessler, Ben Mendelsohn, John Malkovich and Claes Bang.

The ensemble stars in the upcoming AppleTV+ series that follows designers Christian Dior (Mendelsohn), Coco Chanel (Binoche), Pierre Balmain (Thomas Poitevin) and Cristóbal Balenciaga (Nuno Lopes) as they launch modern fashion in the midst of World War II. Williams plays Christian Dior’s younger sister, Catherine, and Malkovich plays Lucien Lelong.

Williams revealed in a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK that she shaved her head and lost about 25 pounds for the role. The weight loss process was supervised by a team of medical experts who regularly monitored her heart rate and performed blood tests.
She also said that as a result, her sleep cycles were affected and she suffered from nightmares that made the actress feel like Catherine, a World War II French resistance fighter.
