Gary Lineker’s religion is ambiguous as he constantly attacks one religion or another. Lineker is England’s second-highest scorer in the world and the fourth-highest scorer in the country’s history. He began his education at Caldecote Road School (Caldecote Juniors) in Braunstone, Leicester (east of Meridian Centre). He attended Leicester City Grammar School for Boys (now City of Leicester College) on Downing Drive, Evington because he preferred football to rugby.

It is difficult to determine whether Gary Lineker is religious or not because he often criticizes religion. We might identify or assume a religion if he condemns one, but he seems to attack them all. On Easter Sunday, he was severely attacked for speaking of Christianity as “crazy religious stories”. Lineker also tweeted that it was part of a wider culture of indoctrination. He was also reprimanded by fans for making offensive remarks to two Muslim players.
Lineker reported that two players were “eating grass” by kneeling and lowering their heads after the goal. It was clear that he was in the Islamic prayer position. The crowd was outraged, but the football analyst said he had no idea they were praying. However, he apologized. Lineker is again on the offensive against Israeli Jews, calling Israel’s attack on Gaza “textbook genocide.” He also compares Israel’s behavior to the actions of Nazi Germany. Lineker is known for his political views, which he often expresses on Twitter. In December 2016, Vice News called him “the loudest voice of the British left”. Lineker was dismissed from Match of the Day on 10 March because “his recent activity on social media was in breach of our guidelines”. In a statement, the BBC said it had “decided that Lineker will not present Match of the Day until there is an agreed and clear position on his use of social media”.
