George Clooney and Adam Sandler Team Up to Star in New Movie from Barbie Cowriter Noah Baumbach

George Clooney and Adam Sandler join forces for a new film.

The actors should star in the author’s new film Barbie co-writer Noah Baumbach for Netflix, The Hollywood Reporter he reported on Thursday.

Baumbach, 54, who is a co-author Barbie with his partner Greta Gerwig, will also direct and produce the film.

The plot for the upcoming Netflix project is being kept under wraps, Per THR.

The film marks Baumbach’s fourth upcoming Netflix film Marriage story, White noise and Meyerowitz storieswhich starred Sandler, 57.

Sandler’s last project was also for Netflix, with Murder mystery 2 the star who voices the school’s class lizard in the animated film Leo.

News of Sandler and Clooney’s casting comes after Clooney, 62, shared his thoughts on reports that Barbie its actors will play Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling Ocean’s Eleven the parents of Danny Ocean’s character in the upcoming film in the heist film franchise.

Speaking to reporters at the film’s premiere in Los Angeles Boys in a boat on Monday, Clooney said he had heard about the new film, adding: “Margot Robbie is my mother? That’s what I always thought.”

The film’s producer Josey McNamara revealed that the stars have reunited for the project.

“They’re wonderful together,” McNamara told GamesRadar+ in October of Robbie, 33, and Gosling, 43. “The more projects, even outside of that, we can get them to work on would be amazing.”

“I can’t say much, but I think we’re just trying to do the right thing with the franchise,” McNamara continued of the plot. “I’m excited for people to experience it when it’s ready.”

Earlier this year, Barbie became Warner Bros.’ the biggest film of all time after grossing $1.34 billion at the worldwide box office in August.
