Jill Marie Jones is thankful for her TV husband and ex Friends actress Jason Pace this holiday season as it marks her first Christmas without her mother, Gloria Underwood Jones.
On Thursday, December 26, the actress, 49, posted a carousel on Instagram to share how her holiday was filled with love despite the loss.
“Good morning 🌻🌻🌻To be completely transparent…yesterday was a little hard for me…this is the first Christmas without my mom. ♥️🕊”, she wrote.
The first post on the slide was her selfie video with Pace (50), who played Dr. Todd Garrett in the 2000s sitcom.
“Look who’s left under my Christmas tree,” he said in the clip as they both smiled and hugged each other.

Jones, who played Antoinette “Toni” Childs-Garrett on the show, described Pace’s 17-year-old daughter Sarah as “the next Julia Child” and added that the teenager “cooked a whole meal and made a pie… and it DID !! !”

The Paces also treated themselves to a bit of Christmas nostalgia.
“I also found out that his sons (Jake and Dean) never saw their father Friends… so I definitely had to change that! LOL!!! We watched a couple. 🤗”, concluded Jones.
Friends creator Mara Brock Akil expressed her support in the comments section.
“This is beautiful… how love appears in our lives is the charm of life. Big hug to @itsmejillmarie and another one for @thejasonpace. He made me laugh when I saw you together!” wrote 54-year-old Akil.

In the video, Pace went through his cupboards while trying to find a suitable tea to serve Jones. Two of his children were also in the kitchen for the shot, as one of the actor’s sons proudly shared that his sister had prepared the evening meal for them.
On May 8, Jones shared a video dedication to her mother on Instagram, with photos from throughout her life. “🕊🕊🕊💔”, she wrote as a caption.

Friends ran from 2000 to 2008 and focused on a group of black women – Tracee Ellis Ross (Joan Clayton), Golden Brooks (Maya Wilkes), Persia White (Lynn Searcy) and Jones (Toni) – who were best friends living in Los Angeles.
In September 2020, the sitcom arrived on Netflix, two years after the streaming service launched Strong Black Lead, promising to feature more black-led content.
