The Miami Beach location is a “sophisticated late-night lounge and restaurant concept” originally developed in London’s Mayfair neighborhood and “inspired by 1930s Tokyo kissas and Shanghai beer halls,” according to a press release. The new restaurant opened its doors in February. 2, ahead of the grand opening this weekend.
Ramsay previously told PEOPLE about the video, “Lucky Cat for me is a culinary insight into 15 years of traveling around Asia, Southeast Asia, Kyoto, Tokyo. And because I’ve been studying that Asian influence for the last decade and a half, it’s something I’ve been really excited to conceptualize for a while now.”
The chef explained last month that the menu revolves around “the joy of sharing,” which he particularly likes. Ramsay is also very proud of his vision, from dishes such as Kyoto cucumbers to the “local flair” of the raw bar and spicy yellow and maki rolls that are “unrivalled”.

“Miami is one of the most exciting culinary melting pots, diverse and incredibly mixed,” he said at the time. “It’s not like going out for a subdued New York dinner in a quiet neighborhood in Brooklyn or Williamsburg. Miami is bright, sassy, energetic and absolutely believable.”
