GloRilla is feeling the love from “all the big stars” — especially Taylor Swift!
The rapper, 25, told PEOPLE at the Femme It Forwards Give Her FlowHers Awards Gala in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Friday, Nov. 8, that she “trimmed it up” after Swift used her and Sexyy Red’s song “WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME.” in an Instagram video teasing her return to the Eras Tour.
“I was just grooming. I said, ‘Oh my God. All the big stars love me.’ I felt good,” says the musician when he woke up on October 18 and found out about an unexpected post on Instagram from Swift (34).
Swift’s video shows herself holding her cat, Olivia Benson, as she walks across the empty, soon-to-be-packed Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. “Back in the office,” Swift wrote in an Instagram caption, pairing the clip with “WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ME.”
Sexyy Red was quick to respond to Swift’s use of their song, reposting the video on X with the caption, “Okayyyy @taylorswift13 😍😍💋💋.”
Since then, “WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME,” from GloRilla’s debut album FAMOUSLY, recently peaked at number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100.
At the Give Her FlowHers Awards Gala, GloRilla was honored with the Big Femme Energy Award for her work in the music industry on the same day she received a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Song for “Yeah Glo!”
“I feel like I’m that girl,” GloRilla (born Gloria Hallelujah Woods) tells PEOPLE, talking about her recent viral experiences, which include a Rihanna video and partying with Beyoncé. “I feel like I’m the one, literally. But I’m still humbled by it all — and grateful.”

Taylor Swift jokes she’s ‘back in the office’ as cat Olivia makes rare appearance ahead of Eras tour in Miami
While accepting the Big Femme Energy honor, GloRilla said she didn’t write her acceptance speech, joking, “I don’t have a teleprompter because I can’t stay in heels that long,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“I always live by the three D’s: determination, dedication and diligence,” she said before mentioning her 2022 song “Tomorrow” in her speech. “Don’t let anybody tell you what not to do, because at the end of the day, the day has to finish. Every day the sun won’t shine, but that’s why I love tomorrow.”
The ceremony celebrates and recognizes “extraordinary women who have made a significant impact in entertainment and mentorship,” according to the Femme It Forward website.
At Friday’s gala – hosted by fellow rapper Saweetie – Jill Scott, Chloe Bailey, Halle Bailey, Doechii, Lady London and Nija were also honored with awards for their work in entertainment.
