Now word is he has impressed bosses so much that Ben could replace Phil, who left the show earlier this year.
Since Phillip left, Holly has hosted the daytime TV show alongside a rotating list of ITV stars including Josie Gibson, Alison Hammond, Dermot O’Leary and Craig Doyle.
But it’s Ben who reportedly really impressed the network’s senior executives when he came on board earlier this week.
A source told the Mail: “Ben has done really well and bosses have loved his partnership with Holly and there has been great feedback from many quarters.

“Ben is known throughout ITV as very popular with the audience of all the shows he hosts. He is also trusted by the public and is well-loved at ITV. He has hosted so many shows for the channel.
“He and Holly also go back years – he presented on This Morning a few years ago and they have a great relationship.”
Ben currently hosts Good Morning Britain and rotates with Richard Madeley, Ed Balls and Martin Lewis.
He also hosts ITV quiz show Tipping Point, which is pre-recorded, and Saturday game show Ninja Warrior UK.
Meanwhile, viewers were also impressed by Ben and urged to get the permanent job – saying he and Holly make a “perfect match”.
One fan wrote: “Ben is a natural for this show – superb acting. They should ditch Holly and pair him up with someone else forever
Another posted: “Ben should be with Holly all the time. They’ve worked together a lot. He knows how to laugh at the right time. He’s not loud. He’s respectful.. he’s professional.”
It came after Holly told The Sun at the NTA’s that she wanted to have a permanent co-host but said it was up to the fans who she got.
Holly admitted: “Obviously permanently [host]that would be ideal.”
When asked who she would like to work with, Holly continued: “It’s a question that everyone asks me all the time and I guess I ask myself, and the truth is it’s not really up to me.
“It’s kind of like the NTA thing really, it’s a viewer vote – we listen to what people say and think and the decision will be about who people like, not what I have to say.
“People think I have a lot to say and a lot to say about it.”
