‘This is a time to celebrate, and the co-hosts on Good morning America get in the mood with a new festive card!
PEOPLE can exclusively present the image, which features Michael Strahan, Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Lara Spencer and Ginger Zee posing in a network of boxes with various festive props including Christmas lights, bows, nutcrackers and, in Zee’s case, an adorable reindeer headband.
The setup was inspired by the viral box photo trend, which is all the rage on TikTok.
How it works is pretty simple. Simply take a square box, decorate it and pose inside the structure for a picture. After that, any photo editing application can help arrange the images into a grid.
IN GMAIn our case, the team lined the box with white lights and threw out the back, using flocked trees as the perfect backdrop. To fill in the rest of the grids, the team used “Happy Holidays” and “Merry Christmas” images, as well as a cute GMA– a themed decoration and a picture of Santa Claus himself.

GMA viewers also got to see the image in an exclusive debut on the Wednesday, December 4, episode of the ABC News show.
The episode featured behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the greeting card. Judging by the clips, the day was filled with laughter and joy GMA the family struck a pose.
This is just one of many special segments GMA is coming for the holidays. Fans can expect features around holiday gift guides, holiday food trends, cozy holiday wear, and holiday party meals, to name a few.
