New movie by Blake Lively It ends with us having a big update – with director Justin Baldoni confirming the release date.
Although production on the film is on pause due to the current writers’ strike, Justin took to Instagram to share the news that the film will hit theaters on February 9, 2024. “See you guys. you on February 9 at a movie theater near you!” Justin shared on Instagram.

So far, less than half of the film has been shot, but the team seems hopeful that they will return to production soon to finish filming. Production in New York and New Jersey was shut down by WGA collectors earlier this year, Wayfarer and director Justin Baldoni emailed the crew on Thursday, June 16, confirming that The studio will be closed.
“Due to the ongoing WGA strike and the days of loss we have experienced as a result of the protest, we have had to make the difficult decision to temporarily close production,” the email read.
“We would like to express our deepest gratitude for your incredible patience and unwavering commitment during this challenging time.”

It Ends With Us is a film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s controversial novel. The book – which was the Sunday Times #1 bestseller and remained on the New York Times bestseller list for more than 90 weeks – is based on the author’s mother’s journey when Colleen was a child.
The main character, Lily (played by Blake), grew up in a toxic family, but moved to Boston after college. The book follows Lily as she meets a new romantic partner in Ryle Kincaid – but their relationship begins to mimic the toxic couples Lily watched growing up, and when things go awry rather, her first love, Atlas Corrigan, returns to her. life.

However, not everyone was satisfied with the casting, and many were concerned about the age difference between the characters and the actors playing them; Blake (35) will play 23-year-old Lily and Justin (39) will play a 30-year-old neurosurgeon.
Colleen has since defended their age, telling fans: “When I wrote It Ends With Us, a new adult [genre] was very popular. “You wrote college-age characters. That’s what I was contracted to do. I didn’t know neurosurgeons went to school for 50 years. There’s no such thing as an anatomist. 20 year old neurosurgeon.”
Colleen notes, “When I started making this movie, I thought, ‘We have to age them because I screwed up'” before admitting, “So that’s my fault.”
