GOT7’s Jay B is rumored to have left H1GHR music after his label contract expired. On July 25, H1GHR Music announced the departure of two of its musicians, Jay Ba and rapper Sik-Ka, via Instagram. According to the announcement, both musicians are leaving because their contracts have expired. On the same day, Jay B was welcomed by new music label CDNZA Records in a tweet. Jay B is also the company’s first signed talent.
Jay B’s resignation was revealed shortly after H1GHR released a teaser for the project titled ‘Be Right Back.’ Jay B, BIG NAUGHTY, Cha Cha Malone, GroovyRoom, HAON, Jay Park, pH-1, TRADE L and Park Hyun Jin contributed to this track. The same became available on July 27 at 18:00 KST.

Fans were taken aback by the GOT7 leader’s decision to leave the agency he joined a year ago. 2021 was a turning point for GOT7 as the members not only left JYP Entertainment, but also remained part of the group. Leader Jay B was also successful in taking over the group’s branding from JYP. Both the GOT7 leader and Yugyeom signed with singer/rapper Jay Park’s agencies, H1GHR music and AOMG entertainment.
Fans are predicting a major shakeup in the music industry when Jay B and Sik-K leave H1GHR music.
The GOT7 frontman and Sik-K parted ways with H1GHR Music on July 25, and although the former partnered with CDNZA records, Sik-K has yet to reveal his intentions. Fans are worried about recent changes at the agency, which was recently bought by CJENM, a South Korean entertainment and mass media giant. Jay Park also announced earlier this year that he would be stepping down as CEO of H1GHR music and AOMG. The rapper continues to serve as their advisor. Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone founded H1GHR music in 2017 to start a more global label alongside Korea’s AOMG.
In addition to the founders, the company employed artists such as Yultron, Sik-K, pH-1 and Avatar Darko. As a result, it came as a surprise when Sik-K, one of the label’s original artists, announced his departure shortly after Jay Park stepped down as CEO. Sik-K joined the agency in 2017 after appearing on the rap competition series Show Me The Money 4.
Fans have also expressed concern over rapper pH-1, who may also be leaving the label. Suspicions started after pH-1 removed all his Instagram posts and posted some stories on his Instagram account claiming,
“I know it’s time to say goodbye when people start taking me for granted.”
He also wrote in another narrative,
“There are many reasons why my record will not be released. At least not now. You won’t be disappointed if you stick with me. Thank you, my fans.”
At the same time, the musician reassured fans and asked not to spread rumors. He made a similar joke with Jay Park. Jay B joined H1GHR Music when his contract with JYP Entertainment expired. He made his solo debut with Switch it Up, a sultry R&B track featuring South Korean rapper Sokodomo. He then released his first EP SOLO: FUME. Released by Warner Music Korea, the artist released his first physical EP Love. In June 2022, he also held his first meeting with fans, NOSTALGIC.
