Guman Singh was born on Saturday, June 5, 1999 (24 years old; as of 2023) in Sherpur village, Pataudi Tehsil, Gurgaon district, Haryana state, India. His zodiac sign is Gemini.
Guman has loved sports since he was a child and started his sports journey with Gully Cricket. It was his uncle who encouraged him to give up cricket and build a career in kabaddi. He was impressed by Guman’s speed, flexibility and agility. His uncle also believed that building a cricket career would require a huge financial investment that his humble family could not afford. When Guman started playing, there were no kabaddi venues in his village. Therefore, his uncle saved some farmland and opened a kabaddi venue for Guman practice. He was trained by his uncle for three years. Later, Ghuman joined an academy along with his kabaddi friend Manish. After that, he participated in various competitions. He suffered a foot injury that slowed down his performance. In fact, at the time, he considered quitting the sport and finding a job. So his uncle called him back to the village and started training him again.

Guman Singh created history by becoming the most expensive player in Category B at the Pro Kabaddi League Auction 2022 in Mumbai. The prolific attacker was bought by U Mumba for a whopping 2022 PKL price of INR 121 crore. Ghuman, along with attacker Jai Bhagwan, led U Mumba to a 30-23 victory over UP Yoddhas in the tenth match of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 at the Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium. Bhagwan contributed six points while Ghuman contributed five points to the team’s success. In the 7th minute, both Jai and Guman scored unexpectedly, and U Mumba led by three points 5-2. During the season, he performed well and scored 13 points to help Mumba University defeat Patna Pirates 36-23.
In the men’s kabaddi competition at the 37th National Games 2023, Ghuman was part of the Haryana team that won the silver medal after losing to Services in the final in Goa.
In the 2023 Professional Kabaddi League (PKL) auction, Ghuman was bought by U Mumba (FBM) for a whopping Rs 8.5 million, making him one of the most expensive players in the auction.
