Gursharanjot Randhawa, better known as Guru Randhawa, is a Punjabi pop singer and songwriter. He rose to fame with the song “High Rated Gabru”.

Guru Randhawa was born on Friday, August 30, 1991 (age 29; as of 2020) in Nurpur, Gurdaspur District, Punjab. His zodiac sign is Virgo.
He has determined to become a singer since he was a child, and he often participated in various singing competitions when he was a student. He initially learned music by watching popular singers on television. Although he had a keen interest in music, what he valued most was his education. He received his MBA from IIPM (Indian Institute of Planning and Management), New Delhi. After graduation, Guru began his music career by performing on stage at various events.

Guru Randhawa started his career as a singer and songwriter in 2012 with the song “Same Girl”. Next, he released the song Chhad Gayi which was loved by the audience. Guru has sung many Punjabi hits including “Patola”, “Fashion”, “High Rated Gabru”, “Yaar Mod Do” and “Suit”. His debut album was “Page One”.
He made his Bollywood debut in 2017 in the film “Hindi Medium” starring Irrfan Khan; the song was a cover version of his song “Suit”.
In 2017, he also appeared on the “T-Series Mix Tape” with singer Kanika Kapoor; where they recorded a mashup of the songs “Ambarsariya” and “Suit” together.
He performed at the opening ceremony of IPL 2017.
In April 2019, he collaborated with American rapper Pitbull to release the song “Slowly Slowly”. The song has lyrics in Punjabi, English and Spanish.
Guru has also appeared on the covers of magazines like Man’s World Magazine and TMM Magazine.
He has walked for fashion designer Nivedita Saboo at Times Fashion Week.

Randhawa was arrested on December 21, 2020, after Mumbai police raided a club in Mumbai. Cricketer Suresh Raina, Hrithik Roshan’s wife Sussanne Khan and seven staff members of the club were also booked by the police for violating COVID-19 norms arrest. They were all subsequently released on bail. Randhawa said the incident was unintentional but later issued a statement, which read:
Guru Randhawa, who returned to Delhi that morning after going out for dinner with close friends, deeply regretted the unintentional incident that took place last night. Unfortunately, he was unaware of the local government’s decision to impose a curfew, but he immediately followed all the rules set by government officials. He promised to take all precautions and adhere to government guidelines and protocols in the future. He has been a law-abiding citizen thus far and will continue to be so in the future. ”
