Gwyneth Paltrow and Daughter Apple Pose on the Beach During Holiday Getaway in Mexico

Gwyneth Paltrow and her daughter Apple spend the holidays on the beach!

On Saturday, Paltrow, 51, posted a series of photos on Instagram of her and her children Apple, 19, and Moses, 17, enjoying a family trip to Mexico for the holidays. She captioned the post with a Mexican flag emoticon.

In the first photo, Paltrow wears white shorts and what appears to be a white bikini top as she smiles next to Apple in a black maxi dress as they pose on the beach at sunset.

The next photo shows Apple and Moses in sunglasses and swimsuits lounging on a boat in the water. Apple strikes a pose in her black dress in the third photo, and someone seems to have caught Moses in a reflective moment in the last image — his back is to the camera as he looks out into the water beneath a red-orange sky.

In a November cover story for PEOPLE, the Goop founder reflected on how motherhood has drastically changed her life and career.

“Well, it’s kind of ironic because I really stepped away from acting when Apple was born. The last time I was in every scene of a movie was when I was pregnant with her,” she said.

She also explained why she thinks she is a happy mom. “I kind of didn’t have the horrible teenage thing, I think because I was always very, very honest with my kids and I think I always gave them a little more freedom and responsibility than they thought they were ready for,” Shakespeare in love actor He said.

Paltrow continued, “I really loved having teenagers. I mean, Apple is now in the last year of their teenage years, which is so crazy to me that they’re going to be 20 on their next birthday. I don’t know how that happened.”
