“But at the end of the day, the college knows what it’s doing,” Paltrow tells ‘Bustle’

Gwyneth Paltrow will soon be an empty nester.

In an interview with Starethe Goop founder, 51, talked about how her two children — daughter Apple, 19, and son Moses, 17 — handled the college application process, highlighting the differences in their approaches.

“Apple has been very clear about where it wants to go and has done everything in its power to make it happen and manifest it,” says Paltrow.

“Moses is like, ‘I don’t know, I like this and I like that, and let’s go back and see this, let’s go back and see that.’ He’s more relaxed about it. He said ‘I will be happy wherever I am; it’s okay’, which is a great feeling.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the actress talked about her relationship with her daughter Apple.

“It’s so fun to have a daughter that age, especially because she loves clothes and leather and all that stuff,” Paltrow says.

“She’s more girly than me. She’s really good at makeup and loves doing it.”

When asked if her daughter is teaching her new skills, the proud mom says that even though she doesn’t wear a lot of makeup, she’s learned something from Apple. “It’s great because she’s involved in the cool stuff, not the trashy, depressing part of our culture,” the actress explains.

“Yesterday we were FaceTiming and she was telling me how she uses all the Goop products. I never pushed anything, but over time she just got into it, and I was beaming from ear to ear.”

“She is such an eminently sweet person, and her values are in the right place,” she told the newspaper.
