Halle Bailey Gets Birkin from DDG in Lavish Christmas Haul Video — Plus, See Their Sweet PDA in Holiday PJs!

Halle Bailey had very Merry Christmas thanks to her boyfriend DDG!

Little Mermaid The 23-year-old star was surprised with two lavish gifts from the 26-year-old rapper (whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.). DDG shared the cozy holiday moment on their Snapchat on Tuesday, posting a video of the pair opening each other’s presents while wearing festive Christmas pajamas.

Bailey first unwrapped the small rectangular gift to reveal a blue Tiffany box underneath. She squealed in excitement as she opened it to find a gold chain bracelet with a lock pendant.

“Oh my God! Oh my God!” she said, overcome with emotion. “This is too much. I can’t believe you got this! We only tried this to play and pretend. Are you serious? You really got this?”

After her boyfriend helped secure the bracelet to her wrist, Bailey gave DDG a big hug.

“Don’t hug me yet because we’re not done yet,” the Zooted Music founder joked as he handed Bailey a larger box in Hermès’ signature orange. “Open! Open!” he urged her excitedly.

Bailey was visibly shocked when she found a black Birkin bag inside, which DDG explained in a text over the video was “her dream gift.”

“Oh my god! Are you serious? You’re not!” Bailey exclaimed as she admired the bag, then blew kisses to DDG.

“This is crazy! I’ve never had a bag like this in my life,” she added, prompting DDG to ask, “Did I do the right thing?”

Bailey also splurged a little, gifting DDG a pair of black Balenciaga boots, Balenciaga sweatpants and a set of diamond stud earrings. “These are big earrings! Two cards,” he raved before hugging Bailey.

DDG also shared a photo of the couple posing together on Christmas Day x (formerly Twitter), and hinted at how much was actually spent on gifts.

“Spent $500,000 for Christmas on Snapchat,” he captioned the image, directing his followers to his Snapchat video.

Bailey and DDG have been in a relationship since early 2022. The actress revealed their fairytale romance to PEOPLE in May. When asked if her boyfriend has the qualities of a real prince, she smiled and replied: “Yes. I would say so.”

She also reflected on the experience of growing and developing as an individual within her relationship.

“I think the best thing about young love is that you can continue to find yourself through this journey of loving someone else,” she said. “And you discover new parts of yourself and maybe things you hadn’t noticed before about your heart.”

Bailey added, “I feel like things change when love is more involved in your life. I’ve definitely discovered more about myself as a woman. …It’s a really cool thing to go through, but a transformative experience.”

In September, the “Angel” singer shared that “love” — which she said she was “experiencing for the first time” — was the main source of inspiration for her upcoming debut solo album.

“All musical inspiration really just comes from life experiences,” Bailey said Cosmopolitan. “The love was really big for me too, because it’s something I’m experiencing for the first time, and it’s like ‘wow’ in your brain. It’s just fireworks, a spark for creativity.”

“I was very creatively inspired, and then I fell in love from there. And so I really just played with those themes in my music,” she continued, alluding to the special bond she and DDG share.

“You know, you have experience with puppy love, you think it’s love. But this is my first deep, deep, real love.”

Meanwhile, DDG revealed during an interview with The breakfast club that he could see himself proposing “eventually” as he raved about how Bailey inspires him to push himself and chase his goals.

“I’ve never been with anybody who, like, really motivated me like she did,” he explained.

DDG also admires Bailey’s drive and ambition, telling PEOPLE in October 2022 that he’s “very proud” of his girlfriend’s blossoming career. “I’m just happy to see it,” he said. “I feel like sometimes I’m more excited than anybody else. Just to see that and see everything she dreamed of come to life, it’s really crazy.”
