It may still technically be summer, but Hallmark is already focused on The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.
Hallmark announced Thursday, Sept. 19, that 47 new movies will premiere on Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Mystery and Hallmark+ beginning Friday, Oct. 18, in celebration of the 15th anniversary of Countdown to Christmas. The new movies will premiere every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8pm on Hallmark Channel and every Thursday at 8pm on Hallmark Mystery, as well as Wednesdays at 8pm during Thanksgiving week.
The lineup also includes the debut of two scripted holiday limited series, The murders in Imela and Holidaywhich will debut on Hallmatk+.
The murders in Imelabased on the Audible audio series of the same name, stars Sarah Drew and Peter Mooney and follows a small-town store owner with a secret over six episodes. Meanwhile, the eight-episode series Holiday starring Dennis Haysbert, John C. McGinley, Loretta Devine and Virginia Madsen and explores the chaos, joy and challenges that can come with family celebrations, fueled by the sometimes complex dynamics that don’t always make for a perfect vacation.

Hallmark’s first reality competition, Searching for Mr. Christmaswill debut on Hallmark+ as part of the holiday lineup. Searching for Mr. Christmass, with host Jonathan Bennett and Melissa Peterman as head judge, pits 10 hot Hallmark hopefuls against each other as they face off in various festive feats in their quest to prove why they have the heart, talent, authenticity and charisma to be the best next Hallmark Superstar. The winner will make his Hallmark Channel Original Movie debut this year Happy holidays opposite Jessica Lowndes.
Also, in another reality series, Ready, Set, Glow!Hallmark star Wes Brown travels the country to shine a light on spectacular holiday lights and the special stories and people behind them.
The most important movie lines include three new sequels Christmas on Cherry Lanethe new four-film franchise Unwrapping Christmas, a Pretty Little Liars a reunion with Tammin Sursok and Brant Daugherty at Interesting things in St. Nick and Office star Angela Kinsey made her Hallmark Christmas movie debut in the Confessions of a Christmas Letter, which her Dunder Mifflin colleague Brian Baumgartner will also appear.
