Hamas terror cell found INSIDE MRI suite at Gaza hospital with shocking IDF footage showing massive weapons hoard – The Sun

The HAMAS killers behind the terror attack on Israel have hidden a huge cache of weapons inside the MRI center of Gaza’s largest hospital.

Israeli special forces wearing night vision goggles found their al-Shifa headquarters in a dramatic 2am raid.

They blew open the doors of the hospital and ransacked the sprawling compound to stop the “beating heart” of the terrorist group.

Last night they revealed the devastating arsenal they found hidden among the twists and turns.

Among them were bags with Kalashnikovs, AK-47s, grenades, bulletproof vests with Hamas markings and ammunition.

IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said soldiers were in contact with hospital staff to facilitate the evacuation of patients who were being used as human shields by Hamas.

He explained how the terrorists probably managed to escape from the hospital without being noticed.

“We found uniforms of Hamas terrorists that were thrown on the hospital floor to allow these terrorists to escape, probably disguised as civilians,” Hagari said.

“We warned the hospital administration in advance, before our operation.

Today we also delivered medical equipment and baby food to the hospital.

Fellow Israel Defense Forces spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus said the evidence “fully establishes beyond doubt that Hamas systematically uses hospitals in its military operations.”

He added: “What we found is only the tip of the iceberg. This weapon has no business in a hospital.

“The only reason they are here is because Hamas put them here and they are using this place like many other hospitals for their illegal military purposes.”

An IDF spokesman added: “IDF troops are continuing a precise and targeted operation against Hamas in the Shifa hospital complex, where troops are conducting a search for Hamas terrorist infrastructure and assets.

“As the soldiers entered the hospital complex, they clashed with several terrorists and killed them.

“Subsequently, during a search in one of the hospital’s departments, soldiers located a room with technological means, along with military and combat equipment used by the terrorist organization Hamas.

“In another ward of the hospital, soldiers located an operational command center and technological assets belonging to Hamas, indicating that the terrorist organization is using the hospital for terrorist purposes.

“The found technological means and extensive intelligence information have been transferred for a full review to the competent authorities.

“The IDF continues to operate in the hospital complex, while extracting intelligence and preventing harm to the medical teams and civilians sheltered there.”

The Gaza Ministry of Health denies these claims.

A Hamas spokesman said: “The Israeli occupation’s claim that weapons are stored at al-Shifa hospital is a blatant lie that should no longer fool anyone.

“The claim of the Zionist occupation that it found weapons and military equipment in the al Shifa medical complex is nothing more than a continuation of its lies and cheap propaganda.”

Soldiers were given the go-ahead to enter the hospital after American ghosts received intelligence confirming it was a human shield for its command center.

Hamas fighters who have been hiding underground since the killing of 1,200 Israelis on October 7 have been given until 1 am to surrender.

An hour later, more than 100 commandos – along with 30 tanks, countless ground troops and drones – began the battle for al-Shifa.

Five Hamas terrorists who were setting explosive traps on the ground were killed during the firefight before troops rushed to the hospital’s emergency room.

There, soldiers from the Israel Defense Forces burst through the door shouting in Arabic, “Don’t move, don’t move.”

They secured the area and then went from room to room, floor to floor, looking for Hamas fighters, and the men, aged 16 to 40, were ordered into the courtyard and questioned.

The medical teams, patients and women remained inside.

In the hours following the raid, Israeli soldiers delivered battery-powered incubators to the hospital for 36 newborns who were fighting for their lives.

Food and medical supplies were also stockpiled at the entrance to ease the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

The soldiers stayed at the hospital overnight but faced a race against time to locate the entrances to the terror tunnels built beneath the sprawling site.

Some of the 240 hostages taken by Hamas attackers are believed to be held there.

In an impassioned address to the nation, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised: “We will not give up.

“There is no place in Gaza that we cannot reach. There is no hiding place. There is no shelter or refuge for the killers from Hamas.

“We will come and eliminate Hamas and we will return our hostages.”

Their daring mission became clear after a tense standoff that lasted for days amid mounting international pressure.

Israel has been urged not to start shooting in a hospital full of patients.

But shortly before 9:30 p.m., the White House said the US had its own intelligence proving al-Shifa and other hospitals were human shields for Hamas.

He said independent evidence shows that health facilities are fronts for Hamas terrorist operations.

National security spokesman John Kirby said: “It is a war crime.”

But last night he was forced to deny that the US had given Israel the go-ahead to launch its mission.

And there was no sign of those held captive, including 38 children, as searches of the compound continued into the night.

The long-awaited raid was announced shortly after troops found a cache of weapons under the nearby al-Rantisi hospital and traces of hostages.

Natalie Thurtle, deputy medical coordinator for the charity Doctors Without Borders, said at least 300 patients and staff remained at al-Shifa hospital.

She said: “We have been trying to evacuate them for three days. It is very dangerous and there is no way for people to leave Shifa right now.”
