Former minister for Uttar Pradesh and Bahubali leader Harishankar Tiwari passed away in Gorakhpur. At the age of 86, Harishankar Tiwari passed away at his home around 6:30 p.m. Harishankar Tiwari endured a protracted illness. He has served six times as a cabinet minister in addition to being an MLA. Harishankar Tiwari, a former criminal who entered politics, was one of Purvanchal’s powerful men.
Furthermore, Harishankar Tiwari was well-known as a prominent Purvanchal Brahmin leader. Additionally, he was the Democratic Congress’s founder. At Tiwari Hata in Gorakhpur’s Dharamsala bazaar, he passed away. Harishankar Tiwari, who was born in the Barhalganj hamlet of Tanda, served as a minister in various ministries under the Kalyan Singh and Mulayam Singh Yadav governments. He was a six-time MLA from Chillupar. His older son, former MP Bhishma Shankar alias Kushal Tiwari, and former MLA Vinay Shankar Tiwari were there at home at the time of his death.
Akhilesh Yadav, national president of the Samajwadi Party, tweeted his condolences following the passing of Harishankar Tiwari. “Extremely sorry,” he said, “Former Minister Harishankar Tiwari passed away! May God provide the dead person’s soul comfort and the bereaved family the fortitude to cope with this enormous loss. Sincere condolences!”
In addition, BJP MP from Gorakhpur Ravi Kishan expressed his condolences for Harishankar Tiwari’s passing. He wrote on Twitter, “Former minister Harishankar Tiwari passed away at his Gorakhpur home. May Mahadev find solace at his feet.
