Heather Rae El Moussa Says She’s ‘Very Proud’ of Bre Tiesi on Selling Sunset: ‘She Is Strong’ (Exclusive)

Heather Rae El Moussa sings the praises of Bre Tiesi.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the 36-year-old reality star talks candidly about herself Selling Sunset costar, who at one point during the show’s recently released 7th season said she had quit the show.

“Television is hard and when you’re living your life on television, you’re criticized by a bunch of fans and there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes that doesn’t make the show,” El Moussa says. “There are a lot of different stories, it’s our real life, and because the audience gets to see a small part of it, it can be very difficult and very challenging and very stressful.”

Still, noting that Tiesi, 32, is a “strong woman,” El Moussa admits, “I’m not worried about her. She’s amazing on the show. I’m very proud of her.”

With El Moussa and Tiesi, Selling SunsetThe seventh season also stars Mary Bonnet, Amanza Smith, Emma Hernan, Chelsea Lazkani, Nicole Young and Romain Bonnet — plus the Oppenheim brothers, Jason Oppenheim and Brett Oppenheim.

During the last season, the realtors behind The Oppenheim Group were involved in various scandalous and emotional storylines, all while still trying to sell homes.

Young, 38, continued to feud with Chrishell Stause, 42, and found herself in a heated argument with Hernan, 32, while Tiesi clashed with another realtor and shocked colleagues by admitting she had an affair with Michael B. Jordan.

Stause and Smith, 46, meanwhile, got into an argument after a tense dinner in Cabo, as Bonnet, 43, suffered a miscarriage.

According to El Moussa, who only appears in a few episodes Selling Sunsetseason 7 due to her pregnancy with her young son Tristan Jay, this time she only partially continued the drama in the series.

“Well, being friends with all the girls on the show, I know there’s a lot going on while it’s happening,” she says. “So [a lot of the drama] it didn’t surprise me because I was already familiar with everything. But obviously, I’m not there, so it was very shocking to watch things unfold.”

“I was kind of watching here and there and watching certain scenes that Brie was in because she and I are close, and I wanted to see what she was like,” El Moussa continues.
