Helena Christensen and Norman Reedus toast their son on his 24th birthday!
On Friday, the supermodel, 54, posted a touching message on Instagram in honor of her only son Mingus Lucien Reedus’ special day, calling him “the biggest star of my life.”
“Happy 24th to the biggest star in my life 🌟🎂💫😻,” Christensen wrote. “You know how much I love you so I’ll spare you all that jazz, but I want you to know how much all your love and support this summer meant to Abuelita and me. We couldn’t have done it without you.”
In the post, Christensen shared several photos of Mingus over the years — from his childhood to a more recent shot of him walking down an empty street in a jacket.
Several of Christensen’s friends also celebrated Mingus in the comments section, including Naomi Campbell, Julianne Moore and Padma Lakshmi, who wrote: “Happy birthday to both of you!”

Separately, Reedus, 54, announced Mingus’ birthday on his Instagram page, alongside a silly black-and-white photo of the father-son duo taken when Mingus was just a boy.
“Happy birthday MINGUS loves you like an ocean!❤️,” the Walking Dead the star wrote.
Christensen also commented below Reedus’ post. “Our boy,” she wrote and added three black heart emojis.
Reedus also shares daughter Nova Tennessee, 4, with his fiancee Diane Kruger. The couple confirmed their engagement to PEOPLE in August 2021.

It’s been a big year for Mingus, who earned his bachelor’s degree from New York University back in May, when both parents joined forces to celebrate his new degree.
Then Christensen posted a selfie with Mingus and Norman posing for a family photo. The model also shared a snapshot of the father-son duo taken right after Mingus’ promotion ceremony, showing Mingus in a purple and white prom dress as he and his father raise their fists in celebration.

More recently, Mingus has followed in his mom’s modeling footsteps, walking Versace’s spring/summer 2023 menswear show in Milan and even appearing in Marcello Von Berlin’s campaign with Christensen last year.
For the campaign, which celebrates the brand’s suiting collection, the duo posed in the colorful pieces as they were photographed by Agata Serge in New York.
“I really enjoyed working with Marcello and his brand. He is professional and very dedicated to his work, and it shows in his beautiful designs,” Christensen said in the post. “It was very special for me to shoot this campaign with my son. We had a really fun day.”
