Here Are Five Facts Regarding The Morgan Metzer X Rodney Metzer Case

Investigative program Evil Lives Here is preparing to revisit the horrific case of Morgan Metzer’s assault by her ex-husband, Rodney Metzer, in a future episode. The case, which has garnered enough attention from true crime fans, had a bitter ex-husband disguise himself as a masked gunman and attack his ex-wife about a month after their divorce.

What made this case even more astonishing was that Rodney pretended to be the hero of the hour by rushing to save his ex-wife and then immediately contacting the police. His account, however, contained significant errors that led officials to mark him as the prime suspect. Additional evidence eventually convinced him to confess to the crime and he was sentenced to 70 years in prison, with 25 years suspended.

Morgan feels that Rodney tried to stop her from being with someone else. She stated:

“He intended to kill me and himself. I don’t think he wanted anyone else to have me because he couldn’t have me. All this was planned; it was not a random act of insanity.”
