The television figure recalled an incident with paparazzi after her husband Alec Baldwin was charged with inadvertent murder for the second time in connection with the fatal 2021 Rust Shooting in January 2024. The case was discharged in July that year.

After the audio reproduction of commentators called into question the reason for her fashion choices – which included a mini skirt, fish socks and silver metal jackets – she defended her decision, saying, “Alec should have tried to get into the car and try to protect it, I went inside, put ridiculous clothes and returned outside.”
“I mean, the fact that they didn’t realize I mess with them is extraordinary,” she added.
Hilaria then further described in detail how her plan functioned, explaining: “I squeezed my back to the corner, so their back was into the apartment and then we pulled the car. Alec enters the car. [and] drives away. Then I returned to the house. ”
She denied that she was advocating for a spotlight.
“People call me an attention seeker, as if they’ll say all sorts of things because they don’t understand what I’m doing, so they think I’m crazy, and I’m, you know what? Call me crazy, but you know what?” She said. “I’ll take care of my husband and I’ll take care of my children.”

Alec admitted that he also had a “fight” with paparazzi over the years, but since then he tried to change his ways.
“I’m 66,” he said. “What are you going to do now? Or hit every tabloid photographer, the way the world is now, you will be exhausted by the end of the day. If a guy would paint my 75 -foot family when I was much younger, I really would really let it bother me. But after all we have gone through, I just want to take care of my family. I want to be left alone. ”
However, he admitted that he would still defend his family, saying, “I don’t want to say, Oh, I can show you a little shout, but I mean, you know, to introduce a paparazzi here trying to chip my wife’s teeth with the lens of this camera, and then you will see some shouting.”
