DC studio co-CEO James Gunn, who is writing the script and directing Superman: Legacyhe confirmed the news on Instagram.

“Milly is a fantastically talented young actress and I’m incredibly excited to have her as part of the DCU,” Gunn wrote on Instagram.
“Yes, I first became aware of it in The house of the dragon but I was blown away by her diverse auditions and screen tests for #Supergirl,” Gun continued. “She embodies Kara as imagined by @tomking_tk, @bilquis and Ana Nogueira.”

Helen Slater played Kara in 1984 Super girl movie. Melissa Benoist played the character on the CW series for six seasons from 2015 to 2021. Most recently, Sasha Calle played a version of Supergirl in last year’s series Flash.
