House of the Dragon Actress Milly Alcock Cast as Big-Screen Supergirl

Milly Alcock, who plays Rhaenyra Targaryen on HBO Game of Thrones prequel series The house of the dragonshe is set to play Superman’s cousin Kara Zor-El in the Supergirl: The Woman of Tomorrow.

DC studio co-CEO James Gunn, who is writing the script and directing Superman: Legacyhe confirmed the news on Instagram.

“Milly is a fantastically talented young actress and I’m incredibly excited to have her as part of the DCU,” Gunn wrote on Instagram.

“Yes, I first became aware of it in The house of the dragon but I was blown away by her diverse auditions and screen tests for #Supergirl,” Gun continued. “She embodies Kara as imagined by @tomking_tk, @bilquis and Ana Nogueira.”
