She’s black from head to toe — not to mention the rainbow hues of her hair — but when Avril Lavigne walks down the aisle to marry fiancé Chad Kroeger, she’ll be wearing all white.
Or something like that.
“I have my own idea of what I want,” she tells PEOPLE. “Maybe it’s something where I buy a few different dresses and tear them up and put them all together and dye them, or maybe I’ll collaborate with another designer somehow.”
Lavigne, who debuted her four-year-old line Abbey Dawn on Monday at STYLE 360 New York Fashion Week, says it’s too early to talk about details and she hasn’t started the shopping process yet. She did not rule out creating her own wedding look either.
But she already has the right accessory for her big day: her 14-carat engagement ring.
“I can’t take it off. I sleep with it,” she says of the diamond stunner. “Goes with every outfit.”
She jokes: “Get engaged. It is the perfect accessory for any outfit. I did. You should too.”
Ring aside, Kroeger also made his mark on Lavigne’s relatively casual wardrobe; after giving him some Abbey Dawn stuff, she said, “Honey, you gotta give me one of your tour shirts.” Now he has a Nickelback t-shirt and a hoodie.
“I carry [them] all the time. I have to. I miss him,” says the self-proclaimed “Chad fan.” “And I represent. I support.”
