All About Emma Roberts’ Sister, Grace Nickels

Emma Roberts is the proud older sister of her younger sister Grace Nickels.

The American Horror Story the actress’ younger sister was born on January 16, 2001, to Roberts’ mother Kelly Cunningham and her husband, bassist Kelly Nickels, nearly a decade after Cunningham welcomed Roberts with her then-boyfriend Eric Roberts. Despite a 10-year age difference, Roberts and Nickels grew up close to each other.

On Nickels’ 23rd birthday in January 2024, Roberts shared a sweet tribute to her on Instagram with a photo of the two enjoying a drink.

“Happy birthday to the best sister and aunt 🌟,” she wrote. “The day you were born is my favorite day! Love you forever Jeeves 🪩 @ggrace_nickels 💋.”

That same week, Nickels was rumored to be dating singer Dominic Fike after she posted a photo of the two kissing.

When Roberts was 16 and Nickels was 6, Roberts turned to her younger sister for fashion advice, she told The Associated Press in 2007. News from Cleveland19.

“I’m embarrassed to say that sometimes I ask her when I’m getting dressed,” she said. “I’ll say, ‘Is this cute, Grace?’ ”

She added that Nickels was not afraid to share her honest opinion – even if it was negative.

“She’ll say, ‘I don’t think I’m a big fan of that shirt you were wearing.’ I’ll say, ‘Thank you for that, Grace,'” Roberts said. “If I want an honest opinion, I’ll definitely ask her.”

She had some famous friends when she was little

When Roberts was on the Nickelodeon show Incrediblyanother famous sitcom — Drake & Josh — aired online at the same time. In a throwback that both Roberts and Nickels posted on their Instagram accounts in December 2018, the two sisters posed with one of the show’s stars, Miranda Cosgrove.

In her post, Nickels also included a picture of herself with the titular star, Josh Peck, as he tossed little Nickels over his shoulder.

They are close to their mother

Both daughters grew up with Cunningham, who often posts tributes to her daughters on Instagram and shows their sisterly love. In one post, Cunningham showed a screenshot of a text exchange between her daughters as Roberts joked to Nickels that their mom was “stalking” her, trying to figure out what she was up to.

“My mom is stalking me because of what you’re doing,” she wrote in the messages. “Should I say something.”

Cunningham thought the exchange was sweet, writing in the caption: “When your daughters have each other’s backs!!!🤣🤣🤩♥️.”

For her 65th birthday, Cunningham’s daughters wished her a happy birthday on Instagram, and Cunningham reposted Nickels’ Instagram Story tribute on her profile.

The girls also gave her a cake that was decorated with a photo of Brad Pitt and a text bubble coming out of his mouth that read: “Happy birthday beautiful Kelly.”

She frequented red carpets with Roberts

Since she was a teenager, Nickels has been by Roberts’ side at high-profile events, from red carpets to fashion shows. They attended the celebration of Roberts Teen Vogue cover story in October 2015 together, as well as the Domino x American Express Platinum event in August 2017.

Nickels became an aunt on December 27, 2020, when Roberts’ son Rhodes was born. Since then, she has been close to her young nephew, cuddling with him in photos. Both Roberts and Cunningham called her “the best aunt.”

Nickels often shares his drawings on Instagram, from creating abstract colorful paintings to “dude”. [she] drawn,” and Roberts proudly displays them as well.

In December 2016, Roberts posted a video showing Nickels using different colored pencils and markers to draw a woman’s face.

“So impressed and gelatinous @ggrace_nickels art skills,” she wrote in the caption. “I love you sister!”

She was linked to singer Dominic Fike
